CoCoDA sponsors grassroots water, education and public health initiatives in El Salvador and Nicaragua. "Like" us to keep updated on what we're doing.

Since 1992, in partnership with Central American NGOs and diverse U.S. community-based groups in 25 states, CoCoDA has cooperated in a broad array of community projects for reconstruction and development, benefitting dozens of rural Salvadoran and Nicaraguan communities. Examples of our collaborations with communities include:

- Potable water systems, including community-based solar-powered insta

llations

- Construction and re-construction of rural schools, clinics, and community / cultural centers

- Operations and program development for rural health and education

- Scholarships for academic advancement of community teachers (“maestros y maestras populares”) and rural youth

- Community radio stations

- Rural computer and internet access

- Community land purchases and management

- Business loan and administrative training programs

- Women’s organizing and gender equality

- Emergency disaster relief and disaster mitigation

💻 Jornada de capacitación en herramientas digitales con la Asociación de Parteras de Suchitoto.

El pasado sábado como Comunidades Compañeras para el Desarrollo Alternativo (CoCoDA) desarrollamos la segunda sesión del programa formativo sobre computación básica junto a miembros de la Asociación de Parteras de Suchitoto "Rosa Andrade".

🔎 El objetivo principal de estas jornadas es brindarles herramientas digitales prácticas que fortalezcan la gestión de su trabajo y de la asociación, y así maximizar el impacto de su labor para la salud y el bienestar de las comunidades.

💻 Training Session on Digital Tools with the Suchitoto Midwives Association.

Last Saturday, as Companion Community Development Alternatives (CoCoDA), we held the second session of the basic computer training program with members of the “Rosa Andrade” Midwives Association of Suchitoto.

🔎 The main objective of these sessions is to provide them with practical digital tools that will strengthen the management of their work and the association, maximizing the impact of their efforts on the health and well-being of their communities.
