IUI Honors College students are spending their break studying abroad in Costa Rica as part of the "Costa Rica: Honors College Service-Learning" program. During their experience abroad, the students are making tamales, completing service projects, and exploring famous eco-tourism sites. 🇨🇷 🫔

Meet the spring break social media ambassadors for Study Abroad! 🌎️ ✈️

Nicholas Gilbert () is a Communication Studies student who is minoring in Graphic Design. He will be exploring Denmark with the 'Exploring Art & Design in Denmark' program, where he will be acting as a photographer. 📸

Jeasline Deras () is a Business Management and International Studies student. She will be learning about business in Argentina as part of the 'Argentina: Corporate Social Responsibility' program, where she will be acting as a photographer. 📸

Marissa Parcell () is a Forensic & Investigative Sciences and Biology student. She will be acting as a videographer during her time in the United Kingdom as part of the 'UK: Health Systems Around the World' program. 📹️

Sarah Eckert () is a Global and International Studies student. She is spending spring break in the Caribbean with the 'TESM Cruise Line Management program where she will be acting as a videographer. 📹️

The curtain falls on this semester abroad journey with Angelina Valente, who made her study abroad aspirations a reality. During her 4-month stint abroad she built new friendships, received a better understanding of different cultures, and made memories that will last a lifetime! 🤝 🌍️

If you're hesitant to have your own study abroad experience, here are some words of wisdom from Angelina: "My advice for first-time students is to just keep putting yourself out there socially to meet new people while also knowing that solo adventures can be just as exciting!" 🙂

Embarking on a European adventure during her semester in Dublin, Angelina Valente took her studies beyond University College Dublin. 🧳 📚️ From bustling city streets to enchanting landscapes, she was able to explore not only Ireland but surrounding European countries as well! 🌍️

She had this to say about her experience abroad, "Regardless of where you end up or how much time you spend there, it will open up your eyes to different cultures and experiences that can spark so many new passions within yourself." 🗣️
