Remember, Monday, February 18th is an e-Learning Day for all Franklin Township students. This is to make up for our ice day back in November. Students should complete their e-Learning assignments in Canvas.

Things got a bit heated during our practice debate in class today. I cannot wait until the graded debates, should be interesting.
Tomorrow, January 31st will be another e-Learning Day for Franklin Township Schools. Mrs. Knaack’s classes can find the assignment for tomorrow under the e-Learning tab marked Thursday, January 31st.
Next week is Riley Week! East students will be raising money to donate to Riley Children’s Hospital. We will be having spirit days, jar wars, and a Riley Jam! Spirit Days are free and are as follows:
Monday- Hat Day
Tuesday- PJ Day
Wednesday- On Wednesday’s We Wear Pink!
Thursday- Crazy Hair Day
Friday: Tie-Dye Day
Jar Wars- bring in your loose change and put it in your 4th period teacher’s Riley bucket during lunch. Coin is positive points, paper money is negative, so put that paper money in other teacher’s buckets, and all the coin in your own teacher’s bucket. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for the kids at Riley! Let’s Go East Flashes!
The Riley Jam is Friday night. Tickets can be purchased during lunch M-Th for $3. Only 250 tickets are available, so get your ticket soon!

It’s Tacky Tourist Day at East in celebration of homecoming. Don’t forget to come out to the parade in Wanamaker today beginning at 5:30! Look for our float!

You have to love when past students bring you treats they made in science class today!
It’s a new school year, and I’m so excited! Our first few days have been extremely smooth, and I can tell this is going to be a great year with a great group of kiddos! Thanks to everyone who came out this evening for our Back to School Night, I hope you enjoyed your time getting to know your child’s teachers. 🍎

Reader’s Theater today in my classes. Students created an original god/goddess, and composed a myth to explain a natural phenomenon. I was every student’s favorite teacher today, because I had snacks and drinks, and let them eat in class. 😂
