IPTF

The International Progressive Taekwondo Federation (IPTF) is a "politics-free” Taekwondo organization dedicated to promoting the true values of Taekwondo. An innovative and progressive Taekwondo organization, its goals are to help instructors and students of Taekwondo grow into better martial artists and better people society can look up to. It has several different styles, which emphasize e

ither the foot or the fist. Taekwondo has been turned into a mere sport used only to gain medals and trophies. Instead of creating better human beings, the survivor of the fittest attitude now rules this “sport.” In today’s world, true meaning and values of Taekwondo have been lost to many Taekwondoists around the world, and the IPTF is making a sincere effort to bring Taekwondo back to its roots.

Some moments in life are difficult to put into words. This is one of them.

Growing up in Bombay, I could never have imagined that a journey that began with a young boy learning martial arts would one day lead to being featured alongside Chuck Norris, a man whose name became synonymous with martial arts around the world.

To see the words “Two Generations. One Mission.” on this tribute means more to me than simply receiving another award.

Because after all these years, I have come to understand that legacy is not about the belts around our waist, the trophies on our shelves, or the titles before our names.
Legacy is what we leave in people.
It is the student who becomes a teacher.

The person who discovers confidence when they once had none.
The officer who goes home safely because something you taught them worked when it mattered.

The woman who realizes she has the strength and ability to protect herself.

And the next generation that takes what we gave them and carries it farther than we ever could.

I am deeply honored to receive the Who’s Who in the Martial Arts Legacy Award and humbled to be represented in this tribute alongside Chuck Norris.

After nearly five decades in martial arts, I am still a student, still teaching, still learning, and still trying to make a difference.
Two generations. One mission.

Building character. Inspiring lives. Leaving a legacy.

And perhaps that is what martial arts were always supposed to be about.

I am deeply honored to have been inducted into the 2026 AMAA Who’s Who in the Martial Arts Hall of Honors and included in the 2026 Commemorative Who’s Who in the Martial Arts Legacy Biography.

To be recognized by the American Martial Arts Alliance Foundation alongside martial artists who have dedicated their lives to teaching, leadership, and service is truly humbling.

Martial arts has been a part of my life for nearly five decades. What began as a young boy’s passion became a lifelong journey that has taken me around the world—as a student, competitor, instructor, coach, and Grandmaster. Yet the journey continues, and there is always more to learn, more to teach, and more to give back.

My sincere gratitude to Hanshi Jessie Bowen and the American Martial Arts Alliance Foundation for this recognition and for preserving the history and legacies of martial artists from around the world.

Another milestone in the journey. Another reason to keep moving forward.

Truly honored to receive this nomination from the American Freestyle Kaizen Association (AFKA) for induction into its Hall of Fame as a “Distinguished Martial Arts Founder,” as AFKA celebrates its historic 50th Anniversary.

The martial arts have been a lifelong journey for me—one built on learning, teaching, creating, and passing knowledge on to the next generation. To have that journey recognized in this way is both humbling and deeply meaningful.

My sincere gratitude to Grand Master Lawrence Arthur for the nomination and for this distinguished recognition.

More than 50 years into the journey, I remain a student of the martial arts. The journey continues.
