Happy Earth Day! I am thankful for the gift of nature every single day.

This sweet Hermit Thrasher has been my closest connection to our study of migration this week.

Spring bird migration is our topic of study and journaling inside The Nature Creative this month. So far I’ve seen a number of water birds and enjoyed the return of the redwing blackbirds. Awaiting the hummingbirds and orioles. What have you seen?

Ending a month of weather study and this March truly delivered-from snow and frost and high winds to huge temperature swings and rain and tornado watches. And now the grass has greened up and it feels like spring is unfolding.

Observing the same scene over the course of the week and trying to capture it on paper-each attempt brought something different to the forefront and yet also failed to capture the full-bodied experience. Imagine what a year or ten years of observation could bring!
