We could not let the year end without sending huge thank you's to the following people:
** All the families who contributed to the Staff Appreciation Luncheon. Your generosity was overwhelming, the food and desserts were incredible! It really is one of the most-anticipated days at Crooked Creek. Special thanks to Carla Warthan Miller (committee chair), Kelly Wilson Rude, and all the other volunteers who worked so hard to put it together.
** Allison Stevens (room parent coordinator) and all the room parents who coordinated the winter celebration room parties. Once again, the games were a hit!
** Our music specialist Andrew Braxton, all the Gr4-5 students and all the teachers/staff who participated in the winter program. There was so much talent was on display! And it was so much fun!
** Everyone who helped with the winter book fair. It takes superhero math/counting skills, memory, superior reasoning, and patience. Thank you! And thanks to media specialist Kelly Combs Ouattara, who makes it look easy!
** Meisha Wide, who not only chaired the Grandparents Day program, but is also the Restaurant Night chair. Thank you for always looking for fun, new fundraising evenings for our school!
** Susan Cosand (math specialist), Anne Spaniol (reading specialist) and Natalie Inniger Manthey (resource queen) for a really fun Family Game Night
** Karen Poole Jennings, AFTA coordinator, for putting together our after-school programs. Thanks for bringing great programs and great instructors to CC! And thanks to Ann Ramsdell Midkiff, Steph Hedegard and Carrie Martin who are always there to help out in a pinch!
Happy New Year-- 2016 is going to be great!

Reminder- the Staff Appreciation Luncheon is Wednesday, Dec. 16.
Carla Warthan Miller, our fantastic staff appreciation committee chair, is still looking for 1-2 additional volunteers to help out the day of the event, between 11-2. It would be great to have a couple more hands to help set-out the food and organize it, or assist with clean-up, so even 45-60 minutes of your time would be a tremendous help. :-) If you have any questions or want to help, contact Carla Miller at (317) 847-1485 or [email protected].
You can also help by dropping off a salad, main dish, appetizer, or dessert on Wednesday. (We do have outlets for crock pots as well as some ovens for warming.)
We hope you can contribute to make the day a huge success!
