Last week, 17 Providence Cristo Rey students traveled to Cincinnati for our annual BLAST service trip! Representing rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors, our Wolves spent the week living out our mission through service, community, and faith.
Throughout the week, students volunteered at six different organizations: St. Vincent de Paul, New Life Furniture Bank, Olivet Baptist Church, Matthew 25: Ministries, Working In Neighborhoods (WIN), and the FreeStore Foodbank. They stocked shelves, assisted shoppers at food pantries, worked in community gardens, sorted donations, and even helped build 54 tables for families transitioning into stable housing. Students gained hands-on experience serving others while making a meaningful impact in the Cincinnati community.
Of course, BLAST wasn't all work! Students spent evenings cooking meals together, playing games, enjoying Graeter's ice cream, swimming, and building friendships. The week concluded with a special evening hosted by Ms. Roell's family, who welcomed the group into their home for swimming, food, and fellowship.
Thank you to our students, chaperones, and community partners for making this year's BLAST trip such a memorable experience. We are proud of the way our Wolves served, learned, and grew together throughout the week!

On Friday, May 22, we proudly celebrated the graduation of the Class of 2026.
Despite the rain, the day was filled with pride as each senior crossed the stage to mark the completion of their journey at Providence Cristo Rey High School. A meaningful highlight of the ceremony was our bell tradition, where students rang the same bell that first welcomed them to PCR when they were accepted. This time, they rang it once more to symbolize the end of their time here and the lasting legacy they leave behind.
We also recognized Valedictorian Elijah Grimes and Salutatorian Litzy Molina-Pavon for their outstanding academic achievement.
The Class of 2026 graduates leave Providence Cristo Rey with a strong foundation of faith, leadership, academics, service, and Corporate Work Study experience. We are proud of all they have accomplished and excited to see the impact they will make in the world.

The BLAST trip is off to a great start here in Cincinnati. Our group of 17 students has already served at four different places including St. Vincent de Paul, Free Store Food Bank, neighborhood projects, and the Olivet Baptist Church food pantry. We have painted, gardened, stocked shelves, helped families shop for food, and a lot more.
We have also had some fun with thrift shopping, a stop at DQ, and plenty of games. No phones on this trip has made the group even closer. Proud of how hard everyone is working.

Walking With Wolves 2026 and Field Day 2026 made for one unforgettable day at Providence Cristo Rey High School!
Our Wolves kicked off the day with this year’s Walking With Wolves fundraiser, walking to and around Garfield Park while showing off the incredible spirit of our school community. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we raised an amazing $31,993 for Providence Cristo Rey High School!
After the walk, the fun continued with Field Day 2026, where students competed, laughed, and made memories through nonstop activities all afternoon. Students took part in kickball, volleyball, soccer, capture the flag, Mario Kart tournaments, karaoke, water balloon fights, charades, Heads Up, an inflatable sumo wrestling tournament, and crazy relay races featuring bunny hops, piggy back rides, three-legged races, and more.
The energy all day long was incredible, and it all led up to Romero House winning their second straight House Cup championship. Back-to-back champions and now two House Cup titles for Romero!
Thank you to everyone who donated, organized, volunteered, and participated in making the day such a success. What a way to celebrate the Wolf Pack spirit!

Our boys volleyball team left everything on the court tonight in their sectional championship game, battling through three tight sets in a heartbreaking sectional loss. This is an incredibly young group with no seniors, and they showed maturity, grit, and real amazing potential all season long.
Huge congratulations to Coaches AJ and Sam and this team for an outstanding year and for competing for a sectional title!
Well done boys! The future is bright for this group.
