What an incredible Friday at Providence Cristo Rey!

Our 2026 Corporate Work Study Program Draft Day brought together 300 students and 100+ companies for an afternoon of excitement as students found out where they’ll be working this school year. It was especially fun seeing students reunite with mentors they already knew and watching first-time introductions happen throughout the gym.

To all of our partners, thank you for making the time to be here and celebrate our students. Having people in their corner who believe in them and want to see them succeed is what makes this program so special.

It has been a great week for Wolves Volleyball! On Monday, our varsity team swept Phalen Leadership Academy, winning all three sets 25-4, 25-13, and 25-7.

Then, on Tuesday night, both our JV and varsity teams played Park Tudor, and didn't end up with the win, but we had fun and played together.

Congratulations to our volleyball teams on winning on Monday! We are proud of the way our Wolves are competing and supporting one another on the court.

Today we celebrated our students at our Fall Honor Roll Assembly! We recognized students earning First Honors, Second Honors, and High Honors, along with our AP Honor students who earned AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, or AP Scholar with Distinction.

We also had some fun with House Games. Tug-of-war did not last long when two Houses literally broke the rope, so we switched to a hula hoop challenge that put everyone's teamwork to the test.

A great way to celebrate hard work, academic achievement, and some good old-fashioned House competition!

Fall sports are officially underway!

Our Wolves are competing in Girls Volleyball, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, and Cross Country this season, and we’re already seeing some great performances.

Our Girls Volleyball teams are off to a strong start. JV earned a 2-0 win over Purdue Polytechnic North, while Varsity picked up a 3-2 win over Purdue Polytechnic North and a 3-0 win over Indianapolis Metropolitan High School.

Our Boys Soccer team also picked up a win, defeating Purdue Polytechnic Englewood 3-1.

And our Cross Country team hit the course, with Lucas and Angel leading the Wolves with a time of 20:01. Aiden and Kendrick followed at 22:03, Brian and Austin at 23:01, and Larry and Jayden at 29:09.

Great job, Wolves! We’re excited to see what the rest of the fall season brings.

Monday brought one of our favorite traditions for our newest Wolves: the House Sorting Assembly.

Our new students officially found out which of our four Houses they will call home during their time at Providence Cristo Rey: Michael, Ignatius, Lawrence or Romero.

Throughout the year, students will earn House Points through academics, school spirit, service, competitions and more. Those points can be used in the House Store, but the biggest prize is the House Cup, awarded to the House with the most points at the end of the school year.

With competitions and challenges already on the horizon, the friendly rivalry is officially underway.

Welcome to your House, Wolves. Let the competition begin!

Today was a big one at Providence Cristo Rey. Our first day of school and our first all-school Mass of the year, so you could say we had a couple of firsts today.

There was something special about bringing our entire community together to start the year. Students, teachers, staff and leaders all gathered in one place to pray, reflect and begin this new year together.

The first day always brings plenty of excitement, nerves and new beginnings, but getting to start it together reminded us what makes Providence Cristo Rey such a special community.

Also, a big thank you to Father Rick for taking time out of his day to lead us in Mass.

Here’s to a great school year, Wolves. We’re glad to be back.

Today was a big day for our students.

More than 40 companies filled our gym for the CWS Job Fair, meeting with freshmen, transfer students, and students looking for a new CWS job.

After spending the week learning how to be professional during CORE Training, our students got to put those skills to work. They showed up with resumes in hand, introduced themselves, answered questions, and sat down for real interviews with our Corporate Work Study partners.

This is a big part of finding the right CWS placement. We want our students to find a job where they can learn, grow, and contribute, while also making sure our companies find students who are a great fit for their workplace.

A huge thank you to all of the companies who took the time to be here today and meet our students. We are excited to see where these conversations lead.

Our seniors have packed a lot into the last three days.

Before the school year even starts, they've already visited two college campuses and started preparing for what comes after graduation.

On Tuesday, they spent the day at Marian University Indianapolis where they toured campus, started brainstorming and working on their college essays, and began thinking about what they want in a college.

Wednesday took them to Butler University. Students learned about Butler and Founder's College, toured campus, kept working on their essays, and put together a list of 15 colleges they want to explore this year.

Today was something completely different. At Bradford Woods, students traded classrooms for the outdoors, where they worked together through team-building challenges. One of the biggest tasks was building a raft as a group, then putting it to the test to see if it would actually float without capsizing. It took communication, problem-solving, and a lot of teamwork.

Senior year has a way of flying by, so we use this week before classes begin to help students get a head start. Whether it's preparing for college or learning how to work together, it's all part of getting ready for what's next.

Big milestone today! It was officially our first day with our new scratch kitchen, thanks to our partners at .

Upleveling our school lunch was a huge priority for us this year. At the end of the day, good food leads to full bellies, which gives students the energy they need to focus and learn.

We’re really happy with how day one went, and so excited to have our new kitchen team here making fresh, amazing meals for our students!
