Hello All,

I just received notification that Shawna Clark, one of the coexist officers, passed away last Monday. Shawna was an amazing person and coexist was lucky to have her as one of its officers. This is a picture of Shawna with coexist at the Harvey Milk Dinner last October.

Shawna Clark you will be missed!

Sincerely,

Carissa Cartwright-Collins

UPDATE:
So this past weekend I spent time in Normal, Illinois for a LGBT conference called MBLGTACC. I had an Amazing time! I got to see Laverne Cox (from Orange is the New Black) speak about her life as a transgender woman, it was very touching. I also got to see a great drag show hosted by Bianca Del Rio (a winner from RuPauls Drag Race on LOGO)!!!! She is so funny! I got to meet her and she gave me a hug. I also got to network with a lot of cool people from all over the nation. Next year's conference will be at Purdue. As the president of the gay straight alliance on Ivy Tech's campus, I am very happy that I was able to experience it. Thanks to our Advisor Carissa Cartwright!

Just a reminder we had to change the meeting times!!!

NEXT MEETING IS THURSDAY FEBRUARY 19TH FROM 10AM TO 11AM IN ROOM IFC 407!!!!
