The good news is that if you're a Parent, Grandparent, Teacher, Staff Member or just a Friend of the school you are already a member! No need to sign up and no dues to pay. There are some amazing benefits to participating in the SMSG PTA such as:
Meet other families within the school, with children the same age as your own. Become a larger part of your child's education. Get to know the teachers
and school to understand their needs and ideas. One more way to meet and connect with School Administration. Help create, plan and execute fun events for the whole family. An hour or so off each month from your hectic routine. (bring your kids because we offer free babysitting during the meetings)
Camaraderie
A feeling of self-worth through volunteering and the reward of seeing the smiling faces of our children. And speaking of volunteering, attending a meeting will not suck you into a black hole of volunteering for the remainder of your child's education. Come, participate in discussions, share ideas and if you're able to volunteer then we welcome it, but there's no requirement and no judgement. :)
