Jaguars Formula SAE at IUPUI

Jaguars Formula SAE at IUPUI Jaguars Racing is a student-led organization competing bi-yearly in Formula SAE competitions around the world. We have competed in 3 events so far.

FSAE stands for Formula Society of Automotive Engineers. Our team is fairly new, this year being our sixth year of operation. In 2011 we competed at the biggest FSAE event in the world, FSAE Michigan at Michigan International Speedway. Our team then took a short leave from competition and came back to compete in Lincoln, Nebraska at FSAE Lincoln in 2014 and then again at FSAE Michigan in 2015. The

next event we will be competing in is again FSAE Michigan from May 11-24, 2016. Our team is made up of seven different systems. These systems are Aerodynamics, Buisness, Chassis, Controls, Electronics, Engine and Drivetrain, and Suspension. This year we also started a new section of the team which is Driver Devlopment. All of this is headed by our Team Leader and a Head of Manufacturing and is looked over by our program advisor who is also the Director of Motorsports at IUPUI, Andrew Borme. Other members of the team fall under all of these different systems and work on projects related to that section of the car. The purpose of our team is to simulate a race team to the best of our abilities from head to toe. With students leading all of our operation, FSAE is a great opportunity for a student to gain race team experience. Our team accepts anyone, regaurdless of their major. Long time no write! Its been a while since we have updated everyone on our status. Unfortunately, we decided not to attend FSAE Michigan 2016. For this summer though, we have a lot of moving around in the IUPUI Motorsports Club!
