Fall Creek Montessori Academy Welcome to Fall Creek Montessori! We are currently enrolling toddlers and primaries! The Montessori classroom is a carefully “prepared environment”.

It is a non-competitive setting which allows the child to learn at his own pace. It provides the materials and activities children need to develop independence and personal growth. Through careful observation, the teacher serves as a facilitator to the child’s learning. Guided by their own natural interests, the child has the opportunity to explore a prepared classroom environment that promotes kindness, respect, peace, order and confidence.

Today, our little explorers had a wild adventure with Silly Safaris! 🐍🦔🦎🕷️

As part of this week's Tiny Creatures theme, the children enjoyed an exciting animal show where they learned about fascinating creatures from around the world. From observing amazing animals up close to asking curious questions, it was a day full of discovery, wonder, and smiles!

Experiences like these help spark curiosity, encourage respect for living things, and bring learning to life in the most memorable way.

The Kindness Game 💛

One of the most beautiful parts of a Montessori classroom isn’t found on the shelves, it’s found in the relationships children build with one another.

Last week our children played *The Kindness Game*, a Montessori Grace and Courtesy activity that invites children to notice the goodness in others. One by one, they shared something they appreciated about a classmate. You might hear comments like, “I like playing with you”, or notice a child complimenting a friend’s shirt.

To an adult, these words may seem simple. But for young children, learning to pause, observe, and express appreciation is a skill that is intentionally nurtured.

In Montessori, we don’t teach kindness only by telling children to “be nice.” We create opportunities to practice empathy, gratitude, encouragement, and respectful communication. Over time, these moments become habits, and those habits become part of who they are. ❤️

Back during our very first week of school, the children planted our garden with great care as part of our Planting Week. 🌱

Today, they had the opportunity to cut a few beautiful flowers from the garden and arrange them in a vase for the classroom. 💐

It's hard to believe how much everything has grown in just a few months! From colorful blooms to fresh herbs, fruits, and vegetables, our garden has become a beautiful part of our everyday learning.

Watching the garden flourish has been a wonderful reminder of what can grow with time, patience, and care. 🌼🌿

There’s something truly special about the beauty of Practical Life in action ✨

Our Primary children recently prepared their own oatmeal with milk and carefully warmed it in the microwave. What made this moment so meaningful was not just the work itself, but the way they observed and learned from one another. They watched closely as Diana, our head of school, handled the warm bowl with care, and then thoughtfully did the same.

Moments like these remind us that children are always observing, always absorbing, and always striving for independence. Their excitement, focus, and pride in completing a real-life task made this experience simply beautiful 💛

What a LOVE-filled day at Fall Creek Montessori! 💕✨

Our children were beyond excited to exchange Valentine’s cards with their friends, sharing smiles, kindness, and so much joy. The sweetness in the room was contagious!

We wrapped up the celebration with a picnic-style gathering in the big room, bringing all the classrooms together for laughter, connection, and the happiest little faces. It was such a special day celebrating friendship and community! ❤️

🌻 This summer, our children cared for the plants they grew—and now we’re bringing the summer bounty into the classroom! Our biggest winner this year was the sunflower 🌻.
The children loved harvesting the seeds, using tweezers to carefully pick them out—turning this special moment into meaningful work on the shelf. Hands-on learning, straight from nature! 🌱✨
