2nd Look Editing and Proofreading Services The purpose of this service is to address style, voice, basic grammar and typographical errors. These errors can cost a student a passing grade.

Editing and Proofreading Services:
• Spelling: We carefully edit through your paper looking for errors that built-in spell check routinely miss, as well as check for correctly spelled but inappropriate words. We also correct common homonym substitutions such as their/there, to/too, effect/affect, accept/except, and it/it's.
• Punctuation: We locate and correct misplaced commas, periods, colons, se

micolons, dashes, and parentheses.
• Typographic Errors: Typographic errors, such as extra letters and spaces, can undermine your reader's confidence in your writing. Our service makes sure these errors are removed from the submitted draft.
• Basic Grammar: Similar to copy editing, our dissertation proofreading service will address grammatical errors on the phrase level, but does not address style and voice, unlike editing.
• Citation Style: For most students, correctly citing sources has not yet become second nature. We review your citation style (MLA/APA) to ensure that it appropriately matches the style requested by your professor. These errors can and will cost a student a passing grade.
