Resource center providing free school supplies to teachers in Marion County serving at-risk kids. One person can make a difference!

For us it started with one person with a desire to help at-risk kids. In 2000, if she would have said she was going to distribute $30 million worth of free school supplies, no one would have believed her.... but it happened! She started our free supply store for teachers and now we are helping over 200 schools, hundreds of teachers and affecting the lives of 100,000-plus students annually. Be par

Things get germy in our classrooms.

5,000 Lysol tubs went out the door to keep our teachers and students healthy this past school year. Lined up end to end, that many Lysol wipe tubs equal:

323 Elephants stacked on top of each other.
3 Eiffel Towers stacked on top of each other.
12 football fields.

However you stack it, Lysol/Clorox/Disinfecting wipes are a vital part of our classrooms' success. Pitch in this summer with a supply drive to help keep everyone healthy for the long run! https

And just like that...it's been two years with our Volunteer and Program Manager, Sarah Gregory! Help us take a moment to offer congratulations to this detail-oriented, auction crushing, gardening aficionado, dog mom, party planning queen! Sarah brings a vast background of event organizing, volunteer support, and work with students of a variety of ages. We're lucky to have her! Thank you, Sarah! Get some rest this weekend!

Last school year, we gave out over 68,000 pocket folders to our teachers!

We did some very official math and discovered that the weight of 68,000 pocket folders is roughly the same as:

-A classic Airstream trailer
-A well equipped Jeep
-38 baby elephants
-13 adult grizzly bears
-510 bowling balls
-3,825 large pizzas

No matter how you measure it* --the need for pocket folders is greater than ever.

Work with your friends, coworkers, family, and community to collect pocket folders by participating in our Pencil Push Summer Supply Drive: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/pencils2026

Whether you donate an elephant's worth or just a few, your support will tip the scales for a brighter future for our students!

(*We are tempted to measure all things in baby elephants from now on)

Dry Erase Markers mean that students can try again and again and again and again (and again and again and again). Teachers can't get enough of them and in the hands of a student they allow growth, play, and mistakes made and lessons learned. Help us put this vital tool into our classrooms by participating in a summer supply drive with your company, club, faith group, neighborhood, or friend group: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/pencils2026

A Teacher Never Really Stops Teaching — Teachers' Treasures 05/21/2026

Today, as many teachers and students are celebrating their last day of the school year, we want to share a special story of how teachers can touch lives for years to come.

Every teacher has students they never forget.

For Deb, one former student came back into her life decades after leaving her classroom — not because everything turned out perfectly, but because someone still believed in his ability to move forward. Click to read this powerful new story in our “Why I Teach” series and see how one teacher’s compassion continued to change a life long after the classroom days were over. 💙

A Teacher Never Really Stops Teaching — Teachers' Treasures Every teacher carries a few students with them long after the classroom lights are turned off. For Deb, one of those students comes from a class she taught early in her career… a group she still remembers for their closeness, their shared neighborhood, and the way they shaped her as a young teache...
