Our mission is to feed, educate, and medically assist the deserving of Calcutta, India. In 1954, Dr. Mark and Dr. Huldah Buntain, with their daughter, Bonnie, sailed to Calcutta for a one-year missions trip. He is risen! 🕊️✝️

When Jesus began appearing to his followers in the days and weeks following that first Easter morning, what seemed final was anything but.

The tomb was empty. The Lord was among His people. And hope returned.
That same message of hope continues to change lives today.

Through Calcutta Mercy, children receive daily meals, students from impoverished homes can afford school, and families receive medical care they would otherwise go without.

For more than 60 years, this ministry has fed, educated, and medically assisted the deserving of India with dignity, compassion, and the love of Christ. 💛

🙏 Continue the Easter season with your gift of compassion and love.

Priyanka thought she might lose her brother forever.

After a tragic accident, he slipped into a coma for weeks. Doctors gave little assurance. Her family feared the worst.

For families already living in deep poverty, moments like this can feel final.

🙏 But through prayer, support, and compassionate care, hope returned.
❤️‍🩹 Slowly… gradually… her brother began to recover.
🙌 This Easter reminds us that despair does not have the final word.

Through Calcutta Mercy, families across India receive meals, education, and medical care when they need it most.

If you would like to bring hope to another family this Easter, please consider making a gift today. 🔗 - https://bit.ly/CM-Easter

“As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” — John 13:34

This Lenten season, we have spent a lot of time thinking about this wonderful verse from John and how 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 can make a tremendous impact!

For poor families in India, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 can look like a warm meal, life-saving medical care, or the chance for a child to receive an education. When you give to Calcutta Mercy, you help bring God’s compassion to those who are hungry, sick, and struggling to survive. ❤️‍🩹🙏

So this Lent, we invite you to share that same love with families in need. Your gift helps turn faith into action and hope into reality.

✝️ Love as He loved.

We hope you’ve had a wonderful , and if you’ve already made your gift to Calcutta Mercy — THANK YOU! We are grateful for your amazing compassion and generosity. Before we wrap up this global day of kindness, we’d like
to share one more story made possible through the power of giving.

Rish*ta grew up in a family that couldn’t afford education. Raised by a single mother with two younger siblings, dreams of higher studies felt far out of reach. But all of that changed once Rish*ta started at a Cry of India school.

From kindergarten through graduation, Rish*ta thrived — excelling academically and shining in extracurricular activities. She eventually enrolled in law school, boldly pursuing a future once unattainable and breaking the cycle of poverty for her family.

She’s also a vibrant part of her church and youth community, grateful for the teachers and supporters who believed in her.

Rish*ta’s story and so many others are all thanks to YOU. You have the power to create transformational change for the deserving of India.

✨ This Giving Tuesday, help open the door for more students to learn, grow, and
chase God-given dreams.

is your chance to bring hope to children of India who are looking for hope and happiness — just like Priyanka.

Priyanka lives in a highly impoverished area of the city with her large family of six people. Her father works as a daily wage laborer, often returning home with nothing to feed their family of six. Daily life for Priyanka and her family was already a challenge … and then tragedy struck.

Priyanka’s only brother was hit by a bus and slipped into a month-long coma. Priyanka was devastated — she couldn’t even eat, fearing she would lose him forever. Representatives from Calcutta Mercy visited the family and joined together with the community for powerful prayer. We prayed for a miracle … and God responded.

Her brother miraculously woke up and recovered. Priyanka and her family rejoiced and their faith in God was strengthened.

Please know your generosity doesn’t just meet physical needs, it introduces children to a better tomorrow through God’s eternal love.

🙏 This Giving Tuesday, help bring that same hope to more families like Priyanka’s.

Today is and we hope you join us on this global day of generosity! By supporting Calcutta Mercy, you are bringing transformational impact to the deserving of India. We’ve had many success stories thanks to the generosity of our donors, and we’d like to share one with you: Amit.

When Amit lost his father to tuberculosis, his mother had to resort to rag picking to provide for her family and struggled to provide even one mea a day. School felt impossible and hope felt very far away.

Through donor sponsorship, Amit was admitted to a Cry of India school (the education branch of Calcutta Mercy) where he was given the opportunity to attend school, have a good meal each day and receive hope!

Even more, he discovered the love of God and shared it with his mother — leading their entire family to find faith, community, and a renewed sense of purpose. Today, all three children attend church with their mother. This is the power of compassion. This is the impact of your giving.

✨ Today, YOU can help more people like Amit find hope, education, and the love of God. 🙏

Give now and be part of a story that changes lives.

But the need keeps growing, and we cannot do this without you.
