Enlace Academy will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day. On Tuesday, September 8, 2026 it is an e-learning day for students. Students were given a packet to complete. We will see everyone back on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Have a great weekend, can’t wait to see everyone soon!

This Thursday, August 27 we have our Back to School Night and High School Seminar. Class presentations will be at:

5:40 PM-6:00 PM
6:10 PM-6:30 PM
*6:30PM - 7:00PM

*8th grade parents this presentation will be the High School Seminar which is very IMPORTANT to receive information about the high school process. It will cover the difference between charter schools, private schools, and district schools. You will also learn about how to apply to high schools and graduation requirements.

At Enlace we care about the health of our community and that is why we are bringing a FREE Vaccine Clinic tomorrow August 20th. The Indiana Department of Health requires specific vaccinations for the 2026–2027 school year:

Kindergarten – 5th Grade: 5 DTaP, 4 Polio, 3 Hepatitis B, 2 MMR, 2 Varicella, and 2 Hepatitis A.
6th – 11th Grade: All previous vaccines, plus 1 Tdap and 1 MCV4 (Meningococcal).

Third-grade reading proficiency in Indianapolis’ Near Northwest Area has risen nearly 25 percentage points over three years, continuing a sharp rise across schools in the Marian University-led Riverside Education Innovation District.
The combined IREAD passage rate among REID schools reached 73% in 2026, up from 63.6% in 2025 and 48.1% in 2023.

“To see the IREAD passage rate in the near Northwest area increase from 48.1% in 2023 to 73% in 2026 is remarkable,” said Lee Ann Kwiatkowski, dean and vice president of Klipsch Educators College and Innovation in K–12 Education at Marian University.

Near Northwest Area Schools Continue Dramatic Reading Gains, with schools improving IREAD passage rate by more than 9 percentage points to 73%. This year EVERY SCHOOL IMPROVED THEIR SCORES!

In 2023, just about half of third graders in Near Northwest Area schools were passing the IREAD, spurring Marian University, Near Northwest Area K-12 school leaders, the community, and trusted partners to come together to make a difference in literacy and educational attainment through the REID initiative.
