Mr. Peterson-Womack student taught at CY and has been teaching here for three years now. He builds strong relationships with students and they respond so well to him. He provides quality instruction in his classroom and expects his students to grow. He works so well with all of our staff. We are so lucky to have him on our team!

Perry Township Schools recognized the 2025-2026 Teachers of the Year at the “Battle of the Birds” - SHS vs. PHMS football game - this evening.

Here is our very own Miss Coomler! So well deserved.

Miss Coomler has impacted so many lives; both students and adults. She works tirelessly to refine her own craft so she can consistently grow her students. She is a tremendous resource to our school staff and is always willing to support others who are doing the same. She shares ideas and is an amazing thought partner for those working on refining their own practice. CY is so lucky that Miss Coomler is a teammate of ours!

On a side note, you can come see her being recognized as our Teacher of the Year at the Perry Meridian Falcons versus Southport Cardinals football games tomorrow evening at PMHS.

This fundraiser supports our 5th grade camp happening in October.

The price of camp is $100 per student. We want every student to be able to experience this regardless of their family's financial situation. We do ask for families to pay $50 of that, if they are able. Then the school picks up the rest of the invoice through these fundraising efforts.

The 5th grade camp fundraiser this year is trash bags. The fundraiser will last from 8/25-9/8. These are quality trash bags to have on hand and just in time for things like collecting leaves.

Orders will be fulfilled only after order forms and all money are returned to school. Students can earn prizes for how many rolls of trash bags they sell.

There is also an online store. For students to get credit towards earning prizes, customers of the store must list the name of the student the purchase supports.
