You can improvise, and we will prove it. Learn the building blocks of improv in a fun, supportive, and welcoming environment, without the pressure of preparing to perform onstage.

This six-week, in-person course is a streamlined version of our full Improv 1 class, adapted specifically for non-performers. You will explore many of the same foundational concepts and exercises, including listening, collaboration, spontaneity, and being present in the moment. The difference is that we will focus less on creating scenes for an audience and more on enjoying the experience and exploring how these skills can be useful *offstage*.

It is also a great excuse to get off your phone, get out of the house, and spend time with other people doing something creative this Fall. No acting experience or improv background is required. There is no show at the end. Just six weeks of learning, playing, laughing, and discovering what improv is all about.

Our next beginner Sketch class is now enrolling and it’s with other new (to us) instructor! Come Timothy Duff! Tim has been working his way through Crossroads improv program, but brings a lot of experience with him as is. He’s studied all over including UCB, iO Chicago, The Second City, and Empire Comedy in Las Vegas. Tim is being added as a Sketch Writing instructor as well as an improv instructor. Welcome, Tim! 🎉

Ever watched a sketch comedy show and thought, “I can do that”? You can! And we can help you do it!

In this fun, introductory course, you’ll learn how to turn your ideas into laugh-out-loud sketch comedy. Each week mixes discussion, group exercises, and in-class writing time in a fun and supportive environment

You don’t have to have writing experience or be an aspiring comedy writer to love this class! You’ll sharpen skills that go way beyond comedy - creative collaboration, clear communication, confident pitching, and thinking on your feet. Whether you’re stepping into comedy for the first time or just want to try something new, you’ll discover how to express yourself in smarter, sharper, and funnier ways. Plus you’ll meet new people, have a blast, and forget the worries of the world each week.

This 6 week interactive course will take you from writing your first joke on paper to telling your first joke on stage. You’ll learn from a working comedian with real industry experience who will guide you through hands-on lessons, creative exercises, and personalized feedback to help you grow. Along the way, you’ll connect with a community of fun people, all cheering each other on as you take your first steps into the spotlight. Come find your voice, sharpen your skills, and get ready to make people laugh!

Not looking to perform? No problem! Stand-up comedy skills are valuable far beyond the stage. Learning to craft and deliver jokes can boost your communication, sharpen your wit, and make everyday interactions more engaging. Humor helps break the ice, ease tension, and build stronger connections. Plus, thinking like a comedian teaches you to find perspective in challenges, turn setbacks into stories, and stay adaptable. It’s not just about being funny - it’s about being quick, clear, and confident in any situation.

Your brain is a muscle and like any muscle, it gets weaker when you don’t exercise it. This six week course is a workout for your brain!

Work That Brain Out is a six-week interactive course that mixes the lessons of neuroscience with improv basics to make your brain work up a good sweat. Each week we explore a different aspect of our brains and how they work, work for us, and work with others.

Most of us spend very little time actually training the biggest muscle we use every single day. This course changes that. Active and genuinely fun exercises designed to sharpen your attention, quiet the voice that says “couldn’t shouldn’t wouldn’t,” and trim the fat your brain has accumulated through underuse. All backed up with research on how it helps.

Whether you come for the brain stuff, the soft skills brush up, or just a genuinely good time with interesting people, you will probably leave with all three Let’s work that brain out!
