The Stack & Sort Board is a great way to practice one-to-one correspondence. This skill is a precursor for almost all reading and math concepts.
Activity: Have your little one place the object on the peg, one at a time, naming or counting each object as they go. This activity will prepare them to touch the words when reading books and counting objects.
Stackers cultivate visual reasoning, problem solving, and fine motor skills. They also promote independent play and multiple learning opportunities for little hands.
If you don’t have a stacker, pull out your Legos, puzzles, or tangrams and let your little play!
Until next time, follow me for additional ways to develop your little one’s easy literacy skills!
