Tonight the sun goes down and Passover begins.

And I want to take a moment before the season opens to speak to something deeper than the holiday.

The Passover lamb was not chosen because Israel was ready. It was chosen because God made a way where there was no way. The blood on the doorpost didn't say "we have it together." It said "we are covered."

Yeshua is our Passover Lamb. The One every sacrifice was always pointing toward. His blood doesn't just mark a doorpost — it marks a life, a household, a legacy.

"For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed."
— 1 Corinthians 5:7

But here is what most people miss — Passover is not the destination. It is the starting line.

Beginning tomorrow, the Counting of the Omer begins. Fifty days of intentional, daily building between the liberation of Passover and the fullness of Shavuot. Between what God started and what He is completing. Between the seed planted and the harvest gathered.

This is exactly what covenant stewardship looks like. You don't drift toward the harvest. You build toward it — one faithful day at a time.

We are in the Feast of Unleavened Bread — seven days of intentional removal before the inheritance can fully take root.

God is not just adding to your life this season. He is removing what would corrupt what He is building.

The scarcity thinking. The single stream dependency. The waiting that feels like wisdom but is actually leaven.
It has to leave before the new season can stay.

Declare this today: I release every mindset that came from Egypt and does not belong in my promised land. I am not building on scarcity — I am building on covenant. The leaven leaves. The structure stays. What God has prepared for this season is mine to receive and mine to steward. In the name of Yeshua — it is so.

A little leaven leavens the whole lump. — 1 Corinthians 5:6

God did not just deliver Israel out of Egypt. He required them to remove Egypt from themselves.

For seven days after the Passover, Israel ate unleavened bread — nothing hidden, nothing that would rise up later and corrupt what God was building. Because the Exodus was not just a geographical move. It was a mental and spiritual one.

Grief asked a question we couldn’t answer.

Sharon and Steven Webster had 40 years of ministry between them. Pulpits. Coaching. Walking alongside families through crisis and breakthrough.
