For our February meeting, we discussed the myths around Stranger Danger and the more sobering truths around domestic/intimate partner violence and statistics to stay aware of; then we created heart-themed targets to practice skills on while out on on the range!

While STARS is not a formal class, we do have certified instructors and experienced shooters on the range with you at all times and no question is too hard - or too easy!

What can I expect?
A supportive group of women, educational activities in the classroom and live-fire on the range with certified instructors, special guests, planned social activities, and opportunities to shoot with like-minded people. There is also AWESOME swag that you will EARN just by being a STAR!

When do the STARS meet?
First Wednesday of each month, 6-8pm at Indy Arms Company.

I want to be a STAR! How do I join in on the fun? What should I bring?
We would love to have you! Here are a few things to know:
To further support safety on the range, attendees must have taken either Intro to Handgun or Basic Defensive Handgun classes at Indy Arms Company, or, an equivalent class from a different learning institution before joining STARS for the first time. STARS is an educational event, and not a formal class, and we want to ensure quality instruction is provided and understood prior to attending.

Purchase your ticket in advance – tickets are limited and are first-come, first served.
Meetings are $20 – this covers classroom time, educational materials, range time, free rental gun, eye + ear protection, and any other materials needed that night.
If you have your own firearm(s), feel free to bring it. If you use a free rental gun, you’ll need to use ammunition purchased at Indy Arms Company.
That’s it! No membership fee, no annual fee, just come as you are! We are excited to see you!

It's winter time, which means bulky clothing, slower driving, and opportunities to get blindsided by inconvenient places and situations. What's your plan of action for staying safe?

We will be discussing Cold Weather Considerations - How to Stay Safe and Protect Yourself TONIGHT - Wed Jan 8 - at 6pm (arrive by 5:45pm to get checked in) at Indy Arms Company.

We are then going to take it to the range and practice loud commands and taking effective shots as a group. Don't miss this opportunity to enhance your skills!
