Our Grade 5 students teamed up with Ms. O’Leary to create a fun video reminding everyone to return their library books before the end of the school year! 📚🎥

We are so thankful for teachers like Ms. O’Leary who go above and beyond to create engaging learning experiences for our students while helping keep our school community running smoothly. Thank you for all you do! 💙

Tonight we hosted our annual Arts Night. All students performed and had at least one piece of visual art on display. Artwork displayed was inspired by global artists and children’s llterature. Thank you Ms, Jaquay and Mr. Lukas for making this night possible.

We have to brag on our AMAZING PTSA! 💙 It’s only day 2 of Teacher Appreciation Week, and our staff has already been spoiled with The Waffle Guy Experience , CAVA , and even some much-needed doggie cuddles from Indy Love On A Leash 🧇🥙🐾

Thank you to all of our incredible parents and families who continue to support and celebrate our teachers and staff in such thoughtful ways. We truly appreciate you helping make our school community so special!

Our kindergarten students have been engaged in hands-on learning during computer science class! Utilizing Project Lead The Way’s unit on the structure and function of the human body, students were challenged to design and create a cast. Their casts had to be comfortable, strong, waterproof, and lightweight.

We are so proud of their creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork as they explored engineering design at such a young age!

Book Buddies are an important part of our CFI 70 community! 📚 Upper grade classrooms are paired with lower grade classrooms and meet once a month to build cross-grade relationships while fostering a love of reading.

Recently, our PreK students and Mr. VanVeelen’s 2/3 class took their partnership on the road for a special trip to the Indy Art Center . Students enjoyed learning about the different studios and the many art projects created on site. They also had the chance to flex their creative muscles during an art class, "Painting Without a Brush."

Experiences like these help nurture open-minded, inquisitive, and caring IB learners as students explore new ideas and express themselves through creativity. Thank you to all of the chaperones who joined us and helped make this day so special! 🎨✨

Last night our Grade 5 students joined those of Benjamin Harrison School 2, Charity Dye School 27 and Joseph J. Bingham School 84 to showcase the art pieces they created as part of their Exhibition projects. This artistic component of the PYP Exhibition provides students with an opportunity to creatively represent their inquiries, share their learning, and take meaningful action. We are so proud of their creativity, collaboration, and thoughtful presentations! 🎨✨

Food insecurity was the focus of 5th grader Noah’s Exhibition Project. Through his research, Noah learned that not all Indianapolis families have the financial resources needed to purchase food, and some live in food deserts with limited access to fresh, healthy options.

To take action, Noah partnered with Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana Inc. , where he volunteered his time packaging food for families in need while also learning more about the challenges of food insecurity in our community.

We are so proud of Noah for turning learning into meaningful service and making a difference for others!
