Did you miss our sale last weekend? No worries! We will be open tomorrow- Saturday the 16th from 9:00 a.m. to Noon to push out our final gorgeous plant arrangements 🌱

Thanks to the tremendous support of our local community we made a huge dent in our inventory- but still have plenty of landscape worthy baskets, patio pots and hanging bags to spruce up your outdoor space 🪴

We officially conquered our soft opening of the greenhouse today for our Ida Public Schools staff!

Our kiddos are prepped and ready to assist tomorrow- May 9th from 9:30 to 3:30 🪴

Hey! Guess what?

Our 3rd Annual Greenhouse Sale opens THIS SATURDAY- May 9th from 9:30 to 3:30 🌸🌼

Our students have been hard at work this semester planting, fertilizing and caring for our beautiful arrangements. There truly is something for everyone! Prices vary by style and every purchase you make directly supports continued hands-on experiences for local students. How cool is that?!

Hanging baskets, patio pots, flower pouches and more! We also have leftover plugs that we didn't have space to plant- have space in your landscaping? Fill a plastic bag for $1/plug to help us empty the greenhouse 🌱🪴

Additional dates will be dependent on our sales this weekend- so stay tuned! 💙💛

Our classes have been BUSY preparing for our annual greenhouse sale! 🪴

We are highlighting some of our favorite combos available this year:

☆Lily chose 'Crushed Pineapple' because it reminds her of a sunny day with all of the yellow and orange shades! 🌼

☆Risty, Cole and Kellen chose 'Livin' on the Edge' because it has tons of different colors and is the easiest to prune 😅

☆Spencer chose 'Candyland' because it is bright, full of color and will look nice on a summer day ☀️

Mia takes floral design special topics this school year and has had the opportunity to build her design portfolio with many new creations. ✨️

This week we were excited to partner with Prince of Peace in Ida to provide arrangements for their service this Sunday.

Lots of time, energy and creativity went into crafting the mock-ups while making them a reality.

Today- Mia & Ms. Luck got to install the designs! 💐🌼🌸

All of this work in the greenhouse is making us ready for Spring Break! 🪴😅

Planting has been in full swing for our annual greenhouse sale. Students have been working hard to get everything planted before we head into break.

In addition- we had a few 8th grade students represent the Ida FFA on Monday night at the Monroe County Agriculture Banquet. Chloe and Brett did a fantastic job!

Braden and Claire got to visit a commercial greenhouse and select the last of our plant material that can be used for projects and other fun stuff around the school 🌸

Highlights from the Ag Room:

☆Mia worked on her March subscription orders this week and embraced a monochromatic green moment ✨️🍀

☆Our egg laying chickens laid some of their 1st eggs! Kids are looking forward to getting enough for a class breakfast 🍳

☆We had a guest speaker- Les Stotz present to our classes about Ida FFA history and share the memorabilia that he has collected. 💙💛

☆The baby chicks have been getting endless amounts of love and attention from all of the classes🐣🫶🏻

2026 Michigan FFA State Convention 💙💛

☆Aubree competed in the Creed Speaking Contest Wednesday morning. She received a silver award!

☆Libbie, Jess, Ben, Alli and Ava received their Outstanding Junior Awards. This is earned through their SAEs (supervised agricultural experiences- work outside of school hours), community service, good grades and participation in FFA activities. We are so proud of them! 👏🏻

☆Braden received his State FFA Degree this afternoon. This is the highest honor you can recieve from our state association. This is earned through his SAE/work hours, 25 hours of community service, good grades and participation in FFA activities. Braden is on track to be our 1st student to complete the entire agriscience course sequence since our rechartering. We see very proud of him! 👏🏻✨️

☆Ice cream at the dairy store, skating at Munn Ice Arena on campus and finishing the night at the Men's Basketball Game vs Rutgers 🏀

Any great start to the week begins with cute animals and sharing our knowledge of agriculture!

Agribusiness students spent time this morning sharing a lesson with a 4th grade class. They read a story, led a lesson and guided students through a relay activity 🌱

8th grade students are busy taking care of the baby chicks and our class rabbit, Rebel.🐣🐰
