Registration for the May 4th Object Relations study group is now live! We hope you will join us from 7:30-9pm at the CTS Counseling Center. Kathy Harting, LMHC, Psychoanalyst, will facilitate a conversation integrating contemporary neurobiological and psychoanalytic perspectives on relational development, focusing on the capacity to engage in love versus patterns of refusal. Drawing on current scholarship and the work of Otto Kernberg on love and aggression, the course examines how these dynamics manifest in clinical practice.

Please save the date for the IPI Study Group on Monday, May 4 from 7:30 to 9. Kathy Harting will present on the topic of Love and Aggression, and the challenges of those who come to us with a refusing love orientation to life, exhibiting chronic anger, contempt, hatred on a spectrum from subtle to obvious. We will view our topic from the vantage point of recent research published in Neuropsychoanalysis, Otto Kernberg’s incorporation of Mark Solm’s theories into an object relations framework, and our clinical experiences shared together to help us think about chronic anger, hatred, contempt, and other forms of refusing love, as well as case material to bring life to the material and
the lived experiences of participants as they treat such clients and perhaps wrestle with some of these challenges themselves.

We had a lovely gathering last night. It was nice to see everyone before study groups start.
We made several announcements, which we will be sharing here as well. Special thank you to our IPI Indy Founders who compiled and read the History of IPI Indy with everyone who attended. The history is published on the website as well.
Thank you to all who attended.
