So excited to share these Digital Mosaic Portraits!!! Thank you for sharing this lesson with me… Students KILLED IT!!!

Students chose an inspirational person to create a portrait of using Google Drawing. They learned about the shapes and values commonly found when illustrating the face and BOOM! They created these masterpieces 🥰

Here’s some student work from our first project this semester! Students created yarn paintings inspired by Huichol Tribal Culture in Mexico. They were to pick a plant or animal as their subject matter and use their knowledge of complementary and analogous color schemes to choose their colors. Woohoo 🥳🥳🥳
