Here’s some student work from our first project this semester! Students created yarn paintings inspired by Huichol Tribal Culture in Mexico. They were to pick a plant or animal as their subject matter and use their knowledge of complementary and analogous color schemes to choose their colors. Woohoo 🥳🥳🥳

Annnnnnnd project numba 3 😊 Paper Mache Food Sculptures! Students studied soft sculpture as a media and learned about various artists who choose food as their subject matter! So proud of all my students’ hard work this semester… stay tuned for final projects coming soon 👀

Project #2 coming at ya! Students used Model Magic air dry clay to create animal sculptures, and in the meanwhile, studied ceramic artist Nick Mackman and her realistic animal sculptures 🥳🥳🥳
