1 Timothy 4:8, NIV: "For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come."

I still vividly remember when this verse first spoke to me.
First, as a martial artist and someone who loves to workout I noticed that it doesn't say that physical training is of no value!
Second, as I ponder over the verse the idea train yourself kept coming up and then💡.
I need to train myself to be Godly to be spiritual.
I don't always feel like training, lifting weights, teaching karate but I still do. I've always believed that it's on those days that it's most important to get it done.
I don't always feel like reading my Bible. I don't always feel like praying.
So why don't I go about it the same way I go about my training? Train myself to be Godly, to be spiritual.
Who ever said it was supposed to come easy? Who ever said that once you get baptize you should always want to read your Bible it should be natural? No, train yourself to be godly to be spiritual.
