On this last day of school for the year, we wish all of our students and staff a very safe, rejuvenating, and fun summer! We are so thankful for our Warrior families and our teachers and staff who make this such a wonderful Catholic learning community. We give special thanks for Middle School Social Studies Teacher Mr. Brian Moyer, whom we surprised and recognized this week for just completing his 30th year at St. Matthew! We know we speak for past, current, and future Warrior students to hope for many, many more!

Over the next few days we will be celebrating many special events and people, so today is just the first of several posts about these incredible Warriors and important milestones and achievements. This morning we recognized our 4th Quarter Outstanding Warriors and students with Perfect Attendance for the entire year. We also began honoring our 8th Graders with Serra Club Server Participation Certificates as well as other Academic Awards. We also had our traditional "Passing of the Torch" where our 8th Graders impart words of wisdom for our upcoming leaders in the current 7th Grade. Finally, we recognized 5th Grader Aria for being selected by her teachers for the David Smock Servant Leader Award for all the ways she leads by example. Congratulations to these Warriors and all of our upcoming achievement winners!

VBS is open to all children age 3 (POTTY TRAINED) to completed second grade.

Our third grade had a special treat this morning as they got to hear from and visit with St. Matthew alum and retired NFL All-Pro Zack Martin today. This Experience from our annual Gala Auction gave a grade the opportunity to win this time with Zack. Zack played at St. Matthew Catholic School and Bishop Chatard before moving on to Notre Dame and then a Dallas Cowboy for 11 seasons. Special thanks to Zack for coming to talk to the next generation of Warriors.

5th Grade celebrated a special and fun Father-Daughter Dance last evening. This is a wonderful time to bring them together before the girls enter Middle School. Many thanks to the parents who put this event together and revived it after a year hiatus.

Middle School enjoyed their field trip today. Special times and memories as the year winds down. Many thanks to our teachers for chaperoning.
