Lots of babies and toddlers like to post and drop objects. Why not turn an empty tin/container into a reusable shape sorting activity for your little one.

Posting refers to the action of placing an object inside a container by passing it through a slot or opening.

Posting activities foster dexterity and hand-eye coordination as well as the ability to voluntarily release an object.

This activity will provide hours of fun for your little one!

We have prepared an experiment activity for you!

It's a great way to familiarise your child with the lifecycle of a butterfly and share some interesting facts about the insect.🦋

1. Butterflies have four wings, not two as you may think.
2. The smallest butterfly is the Western Blue Pigmy, which is only 2cm across.
3. Butterflies need heat to be able to move. When you see them resting in the sunshine, they are warming up their wings so they can fly.
4. Butterflies can see colours that humans can’t.
5. Butterflies taste with their feet!😲

Let us know down in the comment which fact was the most surprising for you.☺️

Happy Juneteenth! 🔴🟡🟢

On June 19, 1865, General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, with an announcement: Enslaved people there were free!

Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. It is also called Emancipation Day or Juneteenth Independence Day. The name “Juneteenth” references the date of the holiday, combining the words “June” and “nineteenth.

The day has been celebrated by generations of families, and some historians think the modern Juneteenth tradition of having red-colored foods, like strawberry soda, watermelon, and red velvet cake, was inspired by those early celebrations.

What red thing are you going to eat today to celebrate?

Let's get creative! 🍃🎨

Leaf rubbings are a nature craft that's great for children to complete with little adult guidance. The idea is to find an interesting leaf, place it on a hard surface, put a piece of paper over it, and rub a crayon, colored pencil, or marker on the layered paper over the leaf to reveal a leaf rubbing. 🤩

Don't forget to take pictures of your artwork and share them with us!
