Our final ensemble is our adult choir, the Indiana Community Choir! This ensemble meets on Monday nights from 7:15pm-9pm. Their first rehearsal will be after the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 14th. Under the direction of Mrs. Erin Knepper, the ensemble contains everyone from high school freshmen to retirees - but we've still got chairs left for you!

Our next ensemble to be featured is our Crimson Youth Choir! This group of talented singers under 18 meets on Monday evenings from 5pm to 7pm in Cogswell Hall, Room 120. Newly under the direction of Mrs. Lauren Saylor, the first rehearsal of the C*C will be held on Monday, August 31st!
Auditions for Voce, our select youth ensemble, will be held from 5pm to 6pm. The next hour will be a meet and greet with the new director as well as get-to-know-you games for our students.

Thank you to everyone from near and far who helped us hold off the rain for our 5th Annual Concert in the Grove on Saturday!! As always, it was a multi-generational gathering of musicians who put in the work for a wonderful concert celebrating how music can bring us all together.

As a reminder, the first letter of University Band is (yo)U - keep an eye out in the coming weeks for information about the fall semester rehearsal schedule for not only University Band but the Indiana Community Choir and the Crimson Youth Choir!

Yesterday's Indiana Community Choir concert was an incredible wrap-up to our adult ensembles for the spring semester. Our thanks go out to our guest musicians for their preparation and enthusiasm, all of the choir members for their weeks of dedication to putting this concert together, and to our fearless conductor (Erin Knepper) for her work leading this ensemble!

After taking the summer off, the first Fall rehearsal of the Choir will be Monday, August 31, 2026 - we hope to see you there!

Join us on Sunday May 3rd at 4pm in Gorell Recital Hall for an absolute treat of a choir concert! The Indiana Community Choir has been hard at work all semester, including on an exciting collaboration with several CMS and String Project instructors for Elaine Hagenberg’s Illuminare.
Regular tickets are $5, seniors/i-Card/military tickets are $3, and children 12 and under are free - cash or check only, please

You wouldn’t find the IUP University Band in rehearsal most Sunday nights, but tonight was a special one - putting the finishing touches on Tuesday night’s concert!
