The winter offering of the Essentials Program to firefighting is starting in January. All classes will be held at the Academy.

Intro to the Fire Service is the first class and is 16 hours. It will be held on January 23, 25, 30th and February 1st from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and on February 3rd from 8:30am to 12:30pm. Students must be 14 years of age.

Hazmat Awareness will be offered on February 3rd from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. (4 hours)

Fire Ground Support is the second of 4 modules of the Essentials of firefighting and will be offered February 6,8,13,15, 20, 22, 27, 29th from 6:30 till 9:30 PM and February 24th from 8:30AM to 5:00PM. (32 hours)

Exterior Fire Fighter will be offered March 5,7,12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28 from 6:30pm to 9:30PM and March 9th & 23rtd from 8:30AM to 5:00PM. (40 hours)

Hazmat Operations will be offered April 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 19, 23, 25 from 6:30PM to 9:30 PM (24 hours)

This year there is an offering of Interior Fire Fighter with live burn in the spring. This class will be offered Aril 30, May 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30 from 6:00PM to 10:00PM and May 5 & 19 from 8:30AM to 5:00PM. Participants of this class must be 17 years of age at time of first class. (48 hours)

The course Brochure and full spring schedule will be released shortly, but we wanted to get the word out to anyone looking for essential classes.

That's cool!

Here’s a low cost method to do non entry confined space rescues or to get to an anchor out of reach. Do you have any other techniques that would work? This is not picture nor my idea. I am going to use this technique though.
