It’s been such a wonderful Teacher Appreciation Week at Eastminster Preschool! ❤️ We wrapped up the week with a fun raffle drawing for our amazing staff!

Developing fine motor skills is such an important part of early childhood learning, and activities like beading are a fun way to strengthen those little hands! 🧵✨

Fine motor skills help children build the coordination and control they need for everyday tasks like writing, buttoning clothes, using scissors, opening containers, and tying shoes. When children practice threading beads, using small manipulatives, painting, building with blocks, or working with playdough, they are strengthening the small muscles in their hands and improving hand-eye coordination.

In our classrooms, we intentionally include hands-on activities like these throughout the day because they support independence, confidence, and readiness for kindergarten and beyond.

🦖 It’s Dinosaur Week in Ms. Keri’s VPK class! 🦕

Our young paleontologists have been busy exploring the prehistoric world through hands-on play and creativity. From building dinosaur habitats with clay to making fossil footprints and creating their own dino scenes, the classroom has been full of imagination and discovery this week!

Activities like these help strengthen fine motor skills, storytelling, and problem-solving while keeping learning fun and engaging.

We don’t mind getting a little messy when creativity is flowing 🎨✨

Our classrooms have been busy painting, mixing colors, and preparing special pieces for our End-of-the-Year Art Show. The children are so proud of their work, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

🌎 Happy Earth Day from our VPK friends! 💧🌱♻️

Today our VPK classes spent time exploring how we can take care of the world around us. The children enjoyed the water table while talking about ways to keep our waterways clean, practiced recycling by sorting different materials, and even created their own colorful tie-dyed shirts to celebrate our beautiful planet!

We love seeing our students learn that even small actions can make a big difference. Caring for the Earth starts with caring hearts—and these children have plenty of those! 💚
