🎨 Meet the GOATs of Art! 🐐

Curious about how we teach at The Salty Artist’s Studio?

GOATs of Art is the perfect way to come check us out and see if your child loves learning with us as much as we love teaching them.

Each class introduces kids to one of the Greatest Of All Time artists — but we don’t just tell them a few facts and start painting.

✨ We learn about the artist, their life, their style, and why their work mattered
✨ Kids work through our beautiful, thoughtfully designed worksheets created to make art history interesting and approachable
✨ We talk, ask questions, look closely at the artwork, and actually LEARN
✨ Then we finish by creating an art project inspired by what we just studied

It’s art history + art education + hands-on creating all rolled into one really fun class. And there's a new artist featured each week!

And yes — GOATs of Art is PEP approved! 🙌

Classes START THIS COMING TUESDAY.
If you want in, please register now. Once classes have begun, registration will close for the semester! Each class builds upon the previous class so it's important to get started on day 1!

The G.O.A.T.s of Art
🎨 This Week = Picasso!!
We dive into the life and art of Picasso. GOATs is an Art History class complete with a 6 page worksheet we will cover in class & for kids to bring home and share, and an art project trying Picasso's techniques!

Kids Creative Workshop

This Week- we’re making Mojo, the studio mascot! 🐙Maddy, our studio apprentice, will show kids how to make an octopus out of Kandi beads.
This class will teach kids basic & complex bead stitches that are interested in learning how to do projects out of Kandi. If there’s time left in class, she’ll show kids how to do some other common stitches that are foundational for larger projects like purses, bow ties and arm cuffs.

Doodle Like a Pro ✍️
I am SO EXCITED about this one!!
Turns out, doodling can look REALLY cool when you know a few tricks.

Spend a couple hours playing with pens, markers, alcohol markers, patterns, shading, color, and all the little details that take your doodles to the next level. It's a perfect way to spend some free time instead of doom scrolling!

No drawing skills required. If you can make a line, a circle, and a questionable-looking squiggle, you're qualified. 😂

You'll also get your own 5.5" × 8.5" Canson Mixed Media sketchbook ($14.99 value) to use during class and take home so you can keep creating.

🎨 HOMESCHOOL KIDS — COME MAKE STUFF WITH US TODAY!

This is a PEP approved class.
Look for: Open Studio Paint 12 and older in the marketplace

No lesson.
No everyone-making-the-same-thing.
No “yours is supposed to look like this.” 🙌

Homeschool Social Creative Time is TODAY from 2–4 PM!

This is two hours for homeschool kids to come into the studio, choose what they want to create or just hang out, work independently, experiment with the supplies, and—maybe the best part—meet other homeschool kids while they do it.

Paint something. Draw something. Try something weird. Make a new friend. Create a masterpiece. Create an absolute disaster. 😂 It's all welcome.

The whole point is simple:

🎨 Their ideas. Their creativity. Their time.

And for homeschool parents who are always looking for ways for their kids to connect with other kids without adding another highly structured activity to the calendar… THIS IS FOR YOU!

PERFECT. You have found your people. 😂

I'll walk you through it, you make yours as cute, weird, wonky, or completely unhinged as you'd like, and we'll spend two hours painting, laughing, and hanging out.

No art experience required.
No pressure to make it perfect.
Just come make something cool with good people.

🎨🌟 Tuesday evening we're kicking off our G.O.A.T.s of Art series with the one and only... VINCENT VAN GOGH! 🌟🎨

What is G.O.A.T.s of Art?

🐐 It stands for the Greatest Of All Time artists!
Each class, we'll "meet" a famous artist, learn a little about their life, discover what made their artwork so unique, and then create our own masterpiece inspired by their style.

💛 Tomorrow's featured artist is Vincent van Gogh—the brilliant artist behind Starry Night and some of the most recognizable paintings in history! We'll explore his bold brushstrokes, vibrant colors, and expressive style before creating our own Van Gogh-inspired artwork.

🎨 No experience is necessary—just bring your imagination and be ready to have FUN! Perfect for young artists!
