Today we’re celebrating “Cows Are Out (Pajama Day)” in the music room! When you’re the music teacher, you’ve got to fully commit — so the cow costume was a must.
The students have been all smiles (and mooo-sical all day long)! I love any excuse to build school spirit and make learning a little more fun. 🖤🤍

This unit combines use of the slab, coil building, and pinch pot techniques that the students have learned throughout the trimester. It’s a great culmination of their learning! 🌺

The 3rd graders worked hard on three of our art standards with this unit.
1: creating a plan using a color scheme, patterns with line and shape
2: practicing clay techniques of inscribing and scoring and slipping
3: creating a final work of art using a color scheme, clay techniques, inscribing actual texture, and applying paint to get a distressed look.

Warm vs. cool Snowy owls by first grade. We learned about texture and color families. We also reviewed using watercolor paints!
