Indian Trails 4th Grade This page will keep parents up-to-date, and give them an inside look at 4th grade at Indian Trails. If you disagree with a post, we'd like to hear from you.

- Off Topic. We will delete comments not related to the subject of the page entries.

- Spam. Comments focused on selling a product or service will not be posted.

-Inaccurate. Posts that include misinformation will be removed.

- Personal Attacks. We do ask that you refrain from personal attacks or being disrespectful of others.

- Illegal. Laws that govern use of copyrights, trade secrets, etc., will be followed.

- Language. Comments including but not limited to: profane or provocative language, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive or derogatory content, threats, obscene or sexually explicit language will be deleted. The moderator also deletes news items that are out-of-date or no longer timely.

All rising 5th grade families (current 4th grade families) are invited to Rising 5th grade night at Fire Prairie Upper Elementary on Thursday, April 16th from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

This special evening is designed just for our incoming 5th grade families to tour the building, meet the staff, learn how students are supported during the transition, and discover what makes Fire Prairie an exceptional place to learn and grow.

We look forward to partnering with you as your student takes this exciting next step toward becoming a Fire Prairie Timberwolf. We hope to see you there!

The Fort Osage School District will implement an Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) on Monday, January 26, 2026, due to inclement weather. Fort Discovery will be open for families enrolled. All Fort Discovery families are asked to go to Indian Trails Elementary starting at 6:30 a.m.

For our AMI School Day, we will engage students directly from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. During this three hour instructional window, students will receive direct engagement with FOSD teachers in a variety of ways. 🎅🎁NO holiday shop shopping during the school day tomorrow, Thursday, December 11th, BUT we will have it open for our IT Holiday Shop Night Time Shopping from 6:00pm to 8:30pm open to anyone.

Where: Room 411 down 3rd and 4th grade hallway. Follow signs!
