Lewis & Clark Academy Jarrod Steffens-Principal We welcome your comments as a means of sharing your own experiences, suggesting improvements or chiming in on the conversation.

Lewis and Clark Academy is a structured learning environment dedicated to providing educational growth and positive behavior strategies to prepare students for success in future challenges and life-long endeavors. To keep our page focused, we have set some comment guidelines.

1. This page is moderated and all comments are reviewed by the Fort Osage School District Public Relations Department.

2. To ensure exchanges that are informative, respectful of diverse viewpoints and lawful, we will not allow comments that are:

- Off Topic. We will delete comments not related to the subject of the page entries.

- Spam. Comments focused on selling a product or service will not be posted.

-Inaccurate. Posts that include misinformation will be removed.

- Personal Attacks. If you disagree with a post, we'd like to hear from you. We do ask that you refrain from personal attacks or being disrespectful of others.

- Illegal. Laws that govern use of copyrights, trade secrets, etc., will be followed.

- Language. Comments including but not limited to: profane or provocative language, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive or derogatory content, threats, obscene or sexually explicit language will be deleted. The moderator also deletes news items that are out-of-date or no longer timely.

We know family vacations create lifelong memories, and we encourage families to make those memories during school breaks, holidays, and long weekends whenever possible.

To help with planning, we've created a Vacation Planning Calendar highlighting school breaks, holidays, and long weekends throughout the year. We hope it makes scheduling your next adventure a little easier while keeping your child engaged in learning.

Annual Enrollment for Fort Osage Families Opens July 6!

Fort Osage families, now is a great time to start gathering the documents you will need to complete your student’s Enrollment/Annual Update before the new school year.

Enrollment Window:
July 6 – August 10

What You’ll Need
New Families
• Current mortgage or lease document
PLUS
• Electric, gas, or water bill dated within 30 days of enrollment application

Existing Families
• Parent Portal Login
• Current mortgage, lease, electric, gas, or water bill dated within 30 days of enrollment application. Any families that previously proved residency with a Residency Affidavit and no longer requires one will provide the same proof of residency as NEW families.

Please note:
Students will not receive schedules or teacher names until Enrollment/Annual Updates are approved. Any outstanding obligations, including negative lunch balances, must also be resolved before approval can be completed.

School may be out for summer, but free meals are back! ☀️🍎

Fort Osage is proud to offer FREE breakfast and lunch for all kids 18 and under at locations throughout the District and Independence this June through August thanks to funding from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services.

💲 Adults may purchase a meal for $3.75
📅 Meals will not be served on June 19

Come join us this summer for healthy meals, friendly faces, and support for our community all summer long!
