Just a few more highlights from the last couple of days of SparkSquad Manufacturing Camp—and with that, we've wrapped up our last Spark Squad camp of the summer! 🔨⚙️

A huge thank you to SMP for giving our campers an outstanding tour of your facility this morning. It was incredible for the students to see the advanced technology in action and learn more about a company that has been an important part of the Independence community for so many years.

Another big thank you goes to Atmos Energy for joining us again this week! Not only did they cook lunch for our SparkSquad campers, but they also cooked for the ICC staff. We truly appreciate your continued support and generosity.

And yes...these campers know that every great project ends with a great cleanup! 🧹 They did an awesome job sweeping the shop and taking pride in their workspace.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this week—and this summer's camps—such a success. We couldn't do it without the support of our community, industry partners, and all of the campers who brought their enthusiasm and hard work each day. We can't wait to see everyone again next summer!

What a great day wrapping up the SparkSquad Welding Camp! 👏

While a few of our campers had to leave early today, this was our largest group, and we are so proud of each and every one of them! Throughout the week, they worked hard, learned new skills, and built their very own welding tables. Their dedication and teamwork were incredible to watch.

A huge shout-out to Hackney for giving our campers an amazing tour and to Atmos Energy for providing lunch today. Thank you for helping make this a memorable experience!

Please join us in giving all of our campers a big round of applause and congratulating them on a job well done! We can't wait to see what they accomplish next. 🔥🛠️

**Day 3 of ICC SparkSquad Welding Camp #3!** 🔥🛠️

Another great day in the shop! We kicked things off with a fantastic breakfast from Daylight Donuts of Independence giving our campers the fuel they needed before getting back to work on their welding tables.

At lunchtime, we took a well-earned break and headed to Maria Mexican Restaurant for a great meal. We were also surprised by the incredible generosity of a mystery customer who help pay for our campers' lunches. Thank you for your kindness.

The afternoon was spent back in the welding booths as everyone continued making great progress on their tables. It's been exciting to watch their skills and confidence grow with each weld, and we can't wait to show you their finished projects.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make this week's SparkSquad camp such a memorable experience. Stay tuned as we wrap up another great week!

🔧 ICC FabLab SparkSquad – Welding Camp Wrap-Up! 🔧

That's a wrap on our second ICC SparkSquad Welding Camp of the summer! Our campers finished their welding table projects today, and they couldn't be more proud of what they accomplished.

A huge thank you to Atmos Energy for providing lunch for our campers today!

🔥 What an incredible final day of SparkSquad Metal Casting Camp! 🔥

We kicked off the morning with an awesome tour of Acme Foundry, where campers got to see metal casting in action and learn how cast products are made in the real world.

When we returned to the ICC FabLab, our friends at Atmos Energy treated everyone to hot dogs for lunch—thank you for helping make the day special!

The afternoon was all about creating. Campers used the 3D-printed molds they had selected earlier in the week and poured molten aluminum to bring their designs to life. Watching those digital models become real metal castings was an exciting way to wrap up an amazing week.

We are incredibly proud of all the campers. They worked hard and created some truly impressive projects. Thank you to Acme Foundry, Atmos Energy, and everyone who helped make this camp a success!
