Hi all, I'm going to be real for a moment and I hope you take the time to read.
This store has been with me since 2013. I also have a full time job. I have this whole time. Teachers Pay Teachers is passive income and I do it for the sense of satisfaction I feel knowing I can use my passion to help others. It's also an outlet for creativity.
With that being said, I can't always dedicate 100% of my time to my store. I try to answer questions and I try to make new products (this comes in bursts). But why can't I do these things regularly? It's mainly because I have clinical depression and bipolar disorder. I've gone through highs and lows, but ever since my husband died two years ago, I've mostly been low in motivation and it greatly affects my store.
I know many of you can relate to mental illnesses, whether it be a friend, family member, student, or yourself. It's not a walk in the park that no one should deal with.
Let me also take the time to say that teacherpreneurs like me are people just like you. We have faces behind the screen and want to do our best to keep people on your side of the screen happy. Please be nice in your questions and reviews. Even if something isn't what you expected, one can still be considerate to the person behind the screen. Determine if you would want to read the tone of the feedback you are leaving before hitting "send".
Back to my store, I will be participating in back to school events and sales (even one starting tonight), but please don't hate me because I might not answer a question right away. I also don't have the mental bandwidth to take on any additional products at the moment, although I am always happy to take your requests into consideration.
If you've made it this far, thanks for sticking with me. I'm happy to have you as a follower and I wish everyone a happy back to school season.
