Miss Mandy's In-Home Child Care 📚8am- 6pm,Tu-Th💞Elementary Educator🌷Meals, Crafts, Outside Play on 5.5 acres🌳Sm Group, Montessori I've been a babysitter since age 11, FT nanny, & tutor.

When I found out I was expecting my 1st LO, I decided to pursue my dream of opening an in-home daycare! Previously, I was a teacher at a daycare for years, so I'm used to balancing the needs of 5 babies/6 toddlers at once. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Social & Behavioral Sciences & have taught kindergarten & PreK, both Montessori & traditional. I was involved

in Big/Little Sister's mentoring, worked at before/after-school programs & was a children's party hostess. I have always been told that I have a gift with children & I have babysat for many families for years. Taking care of & educating children has always come naturally to me & brings me joy every day! It's that time of year so here is a reminder of what to avoid when working outdoors.

* Some sayings you may have heard to help identify these are,
"Leaves of three, leave it be."
"Berries white ,take flight."
"If it's hairy ,it's a berry."
"If it's shiny, watch your hiney."
These are helpful reminders for identifying poison ivy and oak. HOWEVER, it does not apply to poison sumac, which usually has clusters of 7–13 leaves. EVEN poison ivy and poison oak may have more than three leaves.

🐈‍⬛🦇🕷🎃 We've been learning about lots of things that start with B for October! Black, bats, bugs, boos, & more...! 🎃🐈‍⬛🦇🕷 Here is some art we did to bring it to life! Tracing pencil lines (holding & directing the glue bottle together), sprinkling salt for texture to make the spider webs. Coloring coffee filters, aiming & spraying the water bottle to make the colors run together, painting clothes pins black & painting bat faces, scrunching & clipping the filters to make wings...! So much fun!
