Beloved Family, Friends, and Community,
For over forty years, Great Beginnings Preschool has been a place where children have grown in faith, love, and learning. It has been our joy to partner with families in helping little ones discover God’s love and explore His world in a Christ-centered community.

After much prayer and reflection, we must share the difficult news that, due to continued low enrollment, the preschool will close at the end of this school year.

We are deeply grateful to every child, family, teacher, and supporter who has shaped this ministry over the decades. Though our doors will close, the seeds planted here will continue to grow in the lives of the many children we’ve been blessed to serve.

This summer, we will host a reunion picnic for former students, families, staff, and friends—a chance to reconnect, reminisce, and give thanks. It will be on Friday, June 5th at 6pm. More details to come.

As we finish this final year, we remain committed to the same love, excellence, and faith that have guided us from the beginning. We trust God’s provision and step forward with gratitude for all He has done.

Bird seed is great for scooping, filling, dumping, and even pretending. And when it falls on the floor we throw it outside for the birds. 🐦

Why yes, my boys are allowed to use push pins📌 to poke the letter p paper. This not only works on letter recognition, but also works on a tripod grasp. 😁

Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is open!!! Days have changed to Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to better match the Independence School district. Time is 9:30-1:00pm. Cost is $150 a month. Ages 3-5 (potty trained is required) Located for over 40 years in Independence, MO on 291 Highway right next to Tractor Supply. The school will be unable to open without enough enrollment, so please feel free to share this post. The enrollment fee has been postponed to September to ensure the school will be able to open before collecting fees.
