We are excited to welcome our new kindergarten students with a drive-thru Welcome Night on Wednesday, April 7, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. This event will allow parents and students to meet our teaching team and learn more about the transition to kindergarten. It's also an opportunity to provide documents required for the start of school, including your child’s birth certificate and immunization record. We are excited to welcome our new students to the Independence School District and look forward to seeing you on April 7th!

There will be no school from December 21st - January 4th. When students return from winter break on Tuesday, January 5th, we will return to school in the same mode of instruction as we are in currently. Have a wonderful winter break!

I just want to say we have the best kids, staff and students anywhere. I'm late on this post, but our custodians were so happy that our school recognized them two weeks ago. They keep our school so clean and safe! They are the best!!

Ms. Williams class and 4th grade are using a web based program called Vocab A-Z which integrates our tech with learning our super cool words. Becoming so smart is a ton of fun!

We are working hard to build vocabulary at Cassell. Our kids are learning "big" words to help them for life. Cassell kids are so smart!

Mrs. Ensign's class just finished reading "Clod Makes A Friend." To reinforce all the elements of a story her students are creating "Trailers" for the book using Claymation and stop motion animation! Wow, learning at Cassell is so much fun!
