Independence FFA members and football players are invited to participate in a student honor guard this Saturday in Alma Center to honor the memory of Adam Massman.
Saturday, August 29:
Please be lined up along Highway 95 (Clark Street) by 11:45 a.m.
The funeral procession is expected to begin shortly after 12:00 p.m.
*FFA members should wear Official Dress (Ms. Zimmer can provide if needed), remove hats, and stand at respectful attention as the procession passes.
*Football players are encouraged to wear their team jerseys and take a knee as the procession approaches and the hearse passes.
Parking is available at:
• Grace Lutheran Church – 136 W. Main Street
• Behind the old Alma Center Feed Mill – 200 N. Buckley Street
• Nearby side streets
Please do not park along Highway 95 or near Lincoln High School, as those areas are being reserved for funeral attendees and the procession route.
Even if only a few students are able to attend, every person helps show Adam’s family and the Alma Center community how many lives he touched.
If you are a Independence FFA member or football player planning to attend, please let Ms. Zimmer know so we can provide an approximate number to the organizers.
If enough students are able to attend, potential transportation can be arranged.
Feel free to share & get the word out. Thank you!
