Fort Osage Parents As Teachers We are a FREE program offered to the Fort Osage District families with children prenatal to 5 years old.

Our Mission: To promote family well-being by supporting parent-child interaction for optimal health and developmental growth. We welcome your comments as a means of sharing your own experiences, suggesting improvements or chiming in on the conversation. To keep our page focused, we have set some comment guidelines.

1. This page is moderated and all comments are reviewed by the Fort Osage School District Public Relations Department.

2. To ensure exchanges that are informative, respectful of diverse viewpoints and lawful, we will not allow comments that are:

- Off Topic. We will delete comments not related to the subject of the page entries.

- Spam. Comments focused on selling a product or service will not be posted.

-Inaccurate. Posts that include misinformation will be removed.

- Personal Attacks. If you disagree with a post, we'd like to hear from you. We do ask that you refrain from personal attacks or being disrespectful of others.

- Illegal. Laws that govern use of copyrights, trade secrets, etc., will be followed.

- Language. Comments including but not limited to: profane or provocative language, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive or derogatory content, threats, obscene or sexually explicit language will be deleted. The moderator also deletes news items that are out-of-date or no longer timely.

The Fort Osage Care Closet will be open for Fort Osage families on:
📅 September 18 | 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
📅 September 30 | 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The Care Closet is located on our main campus behind the Fort Osage Career and Technology Center. Follow the signs once you turn on the main campus by the high school.

Families who reside within the Fort Osage School District are invited to come shop free items for both children and adults. There are no income restrictions.
Items available may include:

👕 New and gently used clothing, coats, and shoes
🧦 New socks, underwear, and bras
🪥 Hygiene items including toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, pads, and tampons
🏠 Select household items
