As the cold winter months approach, we are excited to invite you your children, ages 3-5, to join our Winter Playgroup at Woodland Early Childhood Center! This is a wonderful opportunity for your children to make new friends, engage in fun activities, and continue learning in a playful and warm environment.

Each session will be filled with a variety of activities tailored for young children, including arts and crafts, storytelling, indoor games, and interactive learning experiences. These activities are designed not only to entertain but also to foster early developmental skills.

We understand the importance of social interaction and cooperative play at this stage of your child's development. Our playgroup will provide a safe and nurturing space for your children to explore, create, and play under the supervision of our experienced staff.

We're looking forward to a winter filled with fun, laughter, and learning. Join us in making this season an unforgettable experience for your little ones!

Parents as Teachers families are invited to join Woodland Early Childhood families for their Winter Family Night! PAT families, if you wish to participate in the book exchange, please bring a gently used book, per child, to your Parent Educator by December 8th.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is now available statewide for Missouri children under five years old! The Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by providing high-quality, age-appropriate books each month to children free to the family. In order to receive books, a parent or guardian must register their child online. Books will be mailed directly to the homes of registered children every month.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library launched statewide in Missouri on November 8, 2023. Parents of Missouri children birth to age five are able to register their eligible children on the Imagination Library national website. Since the launch, the website has experienced some issues due to the high volume of interest, but please keep trying as they are working out the bugs. There is no deadline to register. What a great opportunity to get books into the hands of our littlest readers! 📚❤️

The district will be holding preschool screenings for the 2023-24 school year on the 2nd Friday of each month. We will screen children who are preschool age before we screen children who are three-four years of age(not going to Kindergarten in the fall).
