While the men pirates went 8-22 last year we are hoping that with Davauhnte Turner returning averaging 8.1 points per game and new players coming on the scene they can emerge and will get to winning season this year. . Also the lady pirates are looking forward to doing what they do best and get back to there winning ways. Especially since their top scorere last year 13.7 points per game.

With the basketball season right around the corner there will be a lot of excitement and high expectations for both the men and lady pirates.

Tuesday the baseball team will host the Labette Cardinals . Lets go out and support our pirates during this fall ball game.

Next week the volleyball team is really busy. Playing three games that week these ladies would really need support. Wednesday, September 28, 2015 they will go to Neosho cc to play the lady panthers(13-9). Then on Saturday October 3, 2015, they will be back in action against southeast cc lady storm(7-10). Lets wish them well the these next few games .

This season has started off rough for the lady pirates volleyball team(0-13). On Monday September 28, 2015 the lady pirates will be traveling to Labette cc to play the lady cardinals(2-16). They will begin at 6:30. Lets hope they bring home the first win of the season .

Unlike the offense the pirates defense hasn't been as great as last year, but they've tend to still play well at certain moments; they seem to do very well of stopping the opposite offense for at least majority of the game, but it seem as if they don't do so well at the end because they be dead tired by the 4th quarter. key players for the defense BJ credell, Malik Trollinger, and Langston Underwood. BJ leads the team in total with 32 while Malik and Langston are both tied at 21 a piece.

The pirates have had a major turn around on the offensive end. They have been able to put up points this year; they've averaged 22.0 points a game. Even though they've been better they still haven't been able to score in the red zone which could've made a big deference in each of the last 4 game. Key players for the offense Bryce Gemmel, Edwin Thomas, and Kamathi Holsey. Bryce and Kamathi have connect on 5 of Byrce's thrown touch downs; while Edwin as scored 1 rushing touch down but as a total of 326 yards in 4 games.

The season has started off really slow for the Pirates(0-4). They will be hosting Garden City(1-3) this Saturday September 26,2015 at 7pm. Let`s hope they can turn this season around.
