I'm looking forward to seeing so many familiar faces and getting to spend another year with this group of kiddos! I am proud to be a bulldog because we stick together and try our best!

I retired last May and spent my summer handing out with my 3 grandkids - 9, 5, and 2. I’m so excited the district asked me if I would come back for a 2nd grade position at Southern. I can’t wait
to meet all my students and families. Fun Fact: I student taught with Mrs. Countryman 19 years ago, retired from Glendale, and now I’m back at Southern where my teaching journey began.

Wow - what an awesome evening seeing our Bulldogs back in the building! Special thanks to our volunteers from Waypoint Church and The Gathering. Our kiddos all received donated school supplies and backpacks. We also passed out hotdogs and chips on the playground for our families!
Enjoy your final few days of summer. We can’t wait for school to start on Monday! 🐾🐶🐾💙🐾

Please help us welcome another new 2nd grade teacher to our team, Ms. Tressa Canaday!

Okdokey so I’ll be a second grade teacher this year, it’s my 7th year teaching and I’m so excited to work with second graders and meet all the families. previously I worked at Sugar Creek and Fairmount and taught both kinder and first grade!
A fun fact about me is I collect aprons! I love all the patterns and have several home sewn ones.
