This 8-week program gives community members a behind-the-scenes look at how the Fire District operates. Participants will learn how firefighters and EMS personnel respond to emergencies, operate specialized equipment, and work together to keep Independence safe.

• Meets: Tuesdays, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Location: Fire Station 1 (1980 Delaware Crossing)
• Duration: 8 Weeks
• Class Size: Limited to 20 Participants

Week 7 was all about EMS! Our good friends at UC Health took the time out of their busy day to land and show off their Aircraft to the class. Then, the class participated in a 'Stop the Bleed' and Take10 CPR hands-on training!
