Last night we closed out our time together this year with our banquet. Incredibly humbled by the work put in by our parents to make this happen and a blessing to get to recognize our accomplishments this season. An overwhelming sense of school and community pride tonight.

Today, unfortunately, our season came to an end after competing in districts at Adams Pointe Golf Club. Isaiah Parton led our team with an 81 and Xander Hefner also played well with an 86. Brandon Ferguson shot 95 and Bogan Weikel shot 99.

Without giving a full season recap I do want to say that losing three seniors off the varsity team from last year left us with uncertainty coming into this season, but we were able to grow and improve over the season to the point of beating our team score at districts last year with a group of juniors and a sophomore. And I’m sure I’ll have a whole lot more to say at our banquet but for now I just want to say that I’m proud of these boys and I’m proud to be their coach.

Had our conference tournament today finishing 3rd in both Varsity and JV. Varsity shot 329 and JV shot 373.

On the Varsity side Isaiah Parton with a 77 and Xander Hefner with a 79 were all-conference medalists. Brandon Ferguson with an 85 was honorable mention. This is Isaiah’s 3rd straight year being all-conference.

On the JV side Nathan Hernandez with a 90 and Slater Sangster with a 91 were all-conference medalists.

Really proud with the growth of the program and these players individually.

Last match of the year. Varsity shot 143 to get the win over Raytown, Raytown South, and North Kansas City. Consistent golf from Xander Hefner(34), Isaiah Parton(36), Bogan Weikel(36), Brandon Ferguson(37), and Evan Lottmann(40). Par 33. 11 over as a team score is excellent.

JV won as well on the par 3 course with Logan Ford(36), Brayden Bodendieck(36), and Brady Allen(38) leading the way.

Lots of matches this week. Today Varsity beat North Kansas City and Raytown shooting a team total of 168. A low varsity score for the year. Leading the way was Isaiah Parton who shot 3 under(33) with 7 pars, a birdie, and an eagle on his last hole. The birdie and eagle are impressive but the 7 pars also shows awesome consistency. Also playing well was Xander Hefner(41) who made some mature shots when he got in some trouble off the tee box. Bogan Weikel(47), Evan Lottmann(47), and Brandon Ferguson(48) also contributed to the victories.

In our last home match Fort Osage defeated Belton 172-207. Isaiah Parton shot even par with 3 birdies. Xander Hefner shot 42, Brandon Ferguson shot 44 and Brayden Bodendeick shot 50. The JV won as well with Evan Lottmann(45), Slater Sangster(46), Dane Bryant(47)and Nathan Hernandez(49) all shooting under 50.

04/24/2026

Today we hosted Grain Valley at Winterstone in a 9 hole match losing 156-179. JV lost as well 180-214 with Brady Allen having the low JV score of 50.

Individually, on Varsity, Isaiah Parton shot a 1 under 35 and was the low score of the day for either team. This is the lowest 9 hole score for a Fort Osage golfer since I’ve been coaching these last 5 years and truly a remarkable 9 hole round to watch. He did a great job of staying in the moment and focusing only on the shot at hand.

Yesterday our Varsity team shot a 359 at Fred Arbanas golf course. Leading the way was Isaiah Parton with an 82 and Xander Hefner with an 84.

Our JV team played in the Cardinal Classic Varsity Tournament today. Dane Bryant led the team with an 80. This group has made tremendous progress so far this season.

04/14/2026

Fort Osage JV played in the Kearney JV Challenge on Monday. They finished 8th out of 19 teams. Leading the team was Dane Bryant with an 80 and Slater Sangster with an 82.
