Azereael

Azereael I have been a proud member of the B**M community since the late 1990s I consider the negotiated, consensual exchange of power and pain to be innately positive.

I have been a proud member of the B**M community since the late 1990s, and began teaching on the topic out of my own passions and fantasies, and a deep commitment to the practice of B**M for health and happiness. Kinky play involves a relationship dynamic that requires intelligence, responsiveness, and communication. When practiced well, I believe B**M is a ritual of intimacy that provides those i

nvolved with cathartic enrichment and pleasure. All erotic exchanges should be grounded in mutual consent, communication, and trust, and the practice of B**M can elevate these ethics into an art form. I like to introduce novice explorers and veteran players alike to a style of kinky exchange that is graceful, intense, loving, and skilled. I do not consider dominance to be tantamount to the right to act irresponsibly or in a negative manner. I love to smile and laugh when I play and inspire people with my love and deep enjoyment of all that the leather lifestyle has to offer. My greatest satisfaction comes from unlocking passions in the lives of those I come in contact with in the dungeon. I welcome players of all persuasions and experience levels. I am pleased to work with individuals and couples who are seeking guidance and input on their journey into kink. Whether you are working through your B**M desire, or vanilla-identified and seeking to better understand a kinky partner, my consultation services can offer insight and tools to better understand yourself and your relationships. With over a decade’s experience living and working in the B**M community, I can offer compassion and expertise on a variety of topics, including:

Understanding the root and nature of your interest in fe**sh, fantasy and B**M
Coming out to your partner
Exploring your local B**M community
Finding a play partner who shares your interests
Communication and negotiation techniques for partners of any orientation
I provide you with a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental setting in which you can talk freely about the role B**M plays in your life and receive education, skills and resources to help you find happiness and fulfillment in your kink. Perhaps the greatest misperception about B**M play is that it is an abusive act perpetrated out of malice and with the intent to humiliate. Popular culture is rife with images that foster this stereotype, and I take great pleasure in teaching and practicing B**M in a manner that dismantles these myths. Sensuality is at the heart of a good B**M exchange. I have watched the strongest, most controlling of men happily crumble at the command of a seductive woman. I take great pleasure in observing the power of seduction and the playful agony of denial as one is held captive, inches away from what they cannot have. I can show you how a soft touch or a gentle tease can often accomplish what a firm hand cannot. I enjoy tempering strictness with sensuality and feel that different scenes call for different measures of both. I am a warm woman and like to inspire others to invest their dominance with humanity, sensuality, and grace without diminishing the intensity of the B**M dynamic. Sensuality is a tool as powerful as the whips I wield or the restraints I employ. Pain is certainly not the only way to induce a state of absolute submission – the lightest touch can be powerfully commanding, and the warmth of breath against bare skin can be overwhelmingly controlling. I am an intelligent, elegant, articulate fun Mistress. I have nearly fifteen years professional and private experience in B**M and enjoy light to heavy play in most areas. I trained under and had the pleasure of working with some of the most experienced Master's within our community. It's from this breadth of collective experience that I draw from engagimg in an authority transfer dynamic. My style is personal, intuitive and intense. In our daily lives, we rightly avoid pain as something unpleasant at best and dangerous at worst. I’d like to introduce you to a new way of experiencing "pain" as intense, cathartic sensation, expertly applied with a precision knowledge of the human body. Forget what you’ve seen in the movies: SM is about challenging your body and your psyche, and finding a new kind of strength through surrender and submission. I prefer grace and elegance to bludgeoning, and understand that desires and limits vary greatly among individuals. Regardless of your experience or intensity level, the most profound vacation from your daily life and the affairs of the world can come from surrendering and entrusting yourself to compassionate, skilled hands. My leather represents the weight of responsibility I carry for my Leather House and my community. It reminds me that I am covered by their love and have a duty to protect this way of life within myself and others. I believe that service is the greatest form of love. I hope I can continue to serve for many years to come.

We got our books back from SML!

I want to start by saying competitions are rough. They are hard to get through and as a first time competitor they can be confusing.

The whole team did a great job being there, supporting the class and making time to answer questions.

It was a hard competition.
I'm still very proud of being able to say I did this. I was part of this.

Now I need to address something.

I thought about how to address this because it should be addressed and publicly because this should not happen to any contestant ever.

Judges, when you are leaving comments and your docking of points are for sitting down, PLEASE PLEASE don't assume things.

I have a disability. I have KLS, one of the things I deal with from that is mobility issues. I'm often dizzy, off balance, not steady on my feet. I understand that I don't "look" disabled but the fact is that I actually am.

It's why I get a disability check. This is actually something I can't "work on".

When reading comments like DO NOT SIT!, Sat Down...Really?, and other directed comments about sitting, when sitting is not a choice I get to make, knowing points were deducted from a disability, that's unacceptable.

Please stop assuming that if someone is sitting they are being lazy, disrespectful or rude. They probably are not. They probably have a valid reason for needing that.

I fell down the stairs at the venue because I got dizzy and lost my footing the first day and again outside just trying to stand for a photo. By the end of the event I had to be walked to the stage by two people in the class. They literally held me up that last walk because my legs were simply not working. Coordination wasn't happening.

I had to sit for the final presentation before the announcement because I wasn't able to stand up. Somedays are good days and I don't have the vertigo and dizzy spells and do good, other times not so great. It comes and goes with the KLS cycles. It's just something I have to live with and work around.

And YES I sat for my education because I Needed to. Not because I wanted to.

I did NOT expect that to count against my points. I did not expect to see the first comments from judges to be the direction DO NOT SIT!

People please remember that not everyone has a visible disability. PLEASE remember that when you are scoring contestants and they are sitting, that is probably a necessity.

Know that I do not want to take up minutes of our limited time explaining why I am sitting. That discussion of why is feeling like I am Justifying why I need to. And that should Never happen.

I'm fine with constructive criticism on things I need to work on, improve so I can present better, but a physical disability is something I can't change.

Seeing this repeatedly pointed out by multiple judges commenting negatively on my disability really concerns me and should concern anyone.

I do not use a wheelchair, I am trying to continue to walk as long as I can and while that might be an easier choice it isn't a choice I am ready to make just yet.

I choose to not bring my mobility support animal to an extremely small and overcrowded venue simply because a great Dane is needed for proper mobility support for my height and weight and Bear is a Huge dog and while he is trained for this, the space limitations do not make this realistic. So I had a full team on hand to make sure I had the physical help necessary but they can't be on stage with me.

I tried to get through the competition without drawing attention to the fact that I have a physical limitation because I do not want that to be the focus.

Sadly it hurt me in scoring. They didn't ask or enquire they just scored me negatively for sitting.

I am not okay with that. And I needed to address this because this should not be happening at all, to anyone.

This should not be the experience.

If you are a judge for any leather competition, please please keep my words in mind. Please take this to heart and please stop thinking all disability is visible automatically because it is not factual. Do better guys. You are the leaders and you're judging us on how we carry ourselves and setting standards and today after seeing the books, today I'm judging you.

Do better.

We have another performer to announce! Helix Rider will be performing at Show Me Leather 2024!

Helix Rider is a trans drag king, community advocate, proud Little, and s*x educator. He reigned as Duke of KC Pride 2023 and used that opportunity to teach "Trans 101" through Squishy and Scrappy Presents. Helix lives by the belief that there's no wrong way to be you.

So make sure that you have plenty of ones to show the love for these awesome performers we have this year!

We are so excited to have some amazing entertainment this year at Show Me Leather 2024. One of the great performers we are excited to have at Show Me Leather this year is Mona Chase!

Mona Chase is a St Louis Metro based drag performer. Known for her high soaring live singing performances, the Vocal Vixen of St. Louis has been doing drag since 2007 and has been an active member of the leather community since 2013. Whether they’re performing, judging, providing Sign Language Interpretation (in heels of course) or just volunteering, they love the leather community and the acceptance it provides. Mona is a proud genderfluid q***r person whose notable contributions to the Leather and LGBT community include being Hell On Heels 2022, former Treasurer and Show Director of Metro East Pride, a Judge for IPC 2015, and interpreting for everything from CLAW, Iowa Leather weekend, IPAW, IPTC, IMsLBB and more. You’ll often find Mona’s alter ego, Pup Terp, at Rudis Leather Society events such as Leather and Lattes, and Nerd night.

Outside of leather events and LGBT advocacy you’ll find Terp camping in their popup camper, advocating for Neurodiversity Inclusion as the Global Co-Chair of their day Job’s Neurodiversity Employee Resource Group, taking pictures of birds on hikes (especially t**s and peckers), or annoying people at Karaoke nights all round St Louis by singing power ballads like it’s a 1993 commercial at 2am.

Mona wishes all the contestants good luck, and apologizes in advance for laughing if anyone falls down the stairs/off the stage.

What do we do to drag queens?! We tip them! So make sure that you bring plenty of ones to give during the performance! We can't wait to see everyone at Missie B's on July 26th - 28th enjoying their weekend and seeing history in the making!

07/26/2024

While everyone is planning for this weekend don't forget that we are hosting Sunday brunch at Leather Masters KC. We are so excited to be able to host our brunch at a local Leather shop and end Show Me Leather 2024 at such a great place!

Brunch begins at 11 and food will be provided.

Tomorrow is the day! SML starts at 5:30 at Missie Bs! Please come out and show me some love!

I strongly believe this category shouldn't be determined by what is between your legs and focused on what we do, who we are and how we live our Leather.

I've been in this community for 28 years. I don't have a competition in Arkansas therefore have never been able to represent my state. Through some counsel and pushing from other community leaders over the last decade I decided to run.

In 28 years I built the community in Arkansas. I ran the largest Group for over 11 years. I have published works in the B**M category. I was the first person to fight the state after losing my children with my B**M lifestyle being listed as a direct reason, (2008). I fought the courts and system until 2011, lost, but paved the way for other lifestyle parents to be able to BE parents.

I am Head of a Leather House founded in 1973 by Lord Corvus of Baltimore Maryland with over 83 members. I have sat on Self Panel as well as creating programs in NWA to aid our community.

I owned and operated the dungeon 121 until well into the pandemic because there were no places in Arkansas.

I have been advocating, speaking, educating since the mid 2000s.

And yes I also founded and run MAsT: Bentonville (the first and Only Chapter in Arkansas to make it to a full charter, which was imperative in helping MAsT: International development during the Pandemic.)

I work at brothels in Nevada as a Pro Domme and have worked in the s*x work field most of my life while achieving a Doctorate Degree in Religious Theology and serve my community as legal clergy since 2006.

Being the first on record at Benton County Courthouse list to facilitate and advocate for LGBTQIA marriage equality.

I'm straight/heteroflexible with my MtF trans wife.

I'm Romani and as someone in this minority have faced many racial divides and prejudices.

I want to be taken seriously as a Person of Leather, I want to be presented as someone who's earned their place up there. Not just a token female for the appearance of diversity.

What's between my legs had nothing to do with my success or failures in this community. My seriousness of purpose has made me someone people look to and I want to be represented with the respect the community expects of me.

No one remembers what Miss America does, which is a shame with all the influence and opportunities to change our community and build bonds to make a better one. I hope to change that with this title and do something that matters, so that those running after me are empowered and inspired to hold this title.
