Question 1 is a zero tax rate increase bond that would fund:

Safety and infrastructure improvements
Heating and cooling upgrades
Renovations and new flooring
Band room expansion at Fire Prairie
Performing Arts Center remodel
Classroom furniture for elementary schools, Osage Trail, and Lewis & Clark
Paying a portion of the 2021 lease purchase promise

As a School Board member, I believe it’s important to listen to those who are doing the work every day inside our classrooms. I have the utmost respect for our educators and the insight they bring to conversations about student success, safety, and learning. I’m grateful for the perspective of this Fort teacher, whose words reflect the shared commitment we have to supporting students and strengthening our schools.

Earning the trust of our teachers is one of the greatest responsibilities of serving on the Board of Education. Their perspective guides the work we do. Recently, a Fort Osage teacher wrote that we are “approachable, receptive, and supportive when I have concerns” .

We are grateful for their confidence and wanted to share their full endorsement.

As we near election day, I’m grateful for the support of dedicated educators in our district. Teachers see the day‑to‑day impact of school board decisions, and I appreciate the trust they’ve placed in us to put students and staff first and work collaboratively for our district.

Meg and I made it to the top of Manitou Incline. So proud of each of us and the people we met along the way! One lady (Sarah) was on her 4th assent of the day! And "Texas" who was a guy that was paralyzed from nerve damage just a year and half ago! So inspiring! Beautiful beautiful day.
