🌅💜💛 A MORNING WE’LL NEVER FORGET — SENIOR SUNRISE 2026 💛💜🌅
There are some mornings at school that become memories we carry with us forever… and the Class of 2027 Senior Sunrise was definitely one of those mornings. 🥹🎓🐯
As the sun came up, our seniors laughed, took pictures, enjoyed breakfast, and celebrated the beginning of their LAST FIRST YEAR at Independence High Magnet School. It was a morning filled with fun, friendship, memories, and just a little bit of emotion as we realized how quickly this year will go by. 💜💛
And, of course, we have to talk about Coach Tara’s AMAZING pancakes! 🥞😍 They were the perfect way to start the morning and kept our seniors fueled for all the fun!
A very special THANK YOU to Mrs. Holly, who helped plan this incredible morning and stayed late creating and painting the beautiful boards and frames our seniors used for their pictures. Your creativity, time, and love for our students were written all over this event. 💜💛
We also want to give a huge thank-you to Gloria Aguirre for helping organize Senior Sunrise and making sure all the pieces came together to create such a special experience for our seniors. We are so grateful for everyone who helped make this morning possible!
And then there is Mrs. Holden. ❤️
This was her LAST Senior Sunrise, making this morning especially bittersweet. After so many Senior Sunrises, so many classes of seniors, so many smiles and memories, it was her turn to stand back and watch the Class of 2027 begin their final journey.
Mrs. Holden, your love, dedication, and the memories you have helped create for our seniors over the years will remain a part of their Independence story long after they walk across that graduation stage. What a beautiful way to celebrate one more Senior Sunrise. 🌅🎓❤️
A heartfelt THANK YOU to Coach Joseph, Mrs. Boast, Mrs. Smith, Gloria Aguirre, Mrs. Holly, Coach Tara, Mrs. Holden, and everyone who participated, volunteered, planned, created, cooked, decorated, photographed, laughed, and helped make this morning so much fun.
To the Class of 2027:
Today was more than pancakes and pictures. It was the beginning of the final chapter of your high school journey. There will be many more “lasts” ahead — your last first day, last homecoming, last football game, last pep rally, last prom, and finally… graduation.
Soak it all in. ❤️
Laugh a little louder.
Take the picture.
Make the memory.
Cherish the people beside you.
Because before you know it, this morning will be one of those memories you look back on and say, “Remember when we did Senior Sunrise?” 🥹🌅
Class of 2027, your time is NOW.
