Four candidates have been pushing for our community to be heard, to have their voices and their concerns taken seriously. Incumbent candidates said that "everything is great. Lets not change a thing."

Congratulations to those candidates endorsed by ISD Our ISD Schools Political Action Committee Thank you for recognizing and supporting needed change in our district.

Our ISD Schools Political Action Committee is pleased to announce its endorsement of Wendy Baird for ISD Board of Education , Zac Harmon-McLaughlin for ISD Board of Education, and Brandi Pruente for Kids in the race for the Independence School District Board of Education.

The PAC believes that these three new candidates represent an opportunity, promoting a vision of increased transparency and accountability for the district.

Many professionals in the governance space have observed that the strongest organizations benefit from “constructive contention” amongst board members, which is facilitated by having a wide array of perspectives and backgrounds on the board. The PAC believes that candidates Baird, Harmon-McLaughlin, and Pruente will bring that needed constructive contention to the ISD school board.

Each endorsed candidate will be receiving a donation of $200.00 from the PAC in order to assist their campaign in communicating with voters prior to the election on April 2nd.
