Move-in day has arrived at Calexico Commons, the new SDSU Imperial Valley and Imperial Valley College Intersegmental Student Housing community! On Thursday, Aug. 13, IVC students began settling into their new home for the fall semester and a new chapter of their college experience.

We are aware of a fraudulent email claiming students have pending financial aid funds. This email is NOT from Imperial Valley College and is not affiliated with the college or our official financial aid processes.

If you receive an email asking you to click a link, verify your information, or provide personal or banking details to receive financial aid funds:
❌ Do not click any links.
❌ Do not share personal or banking information.
❌ Delete the email or report it as phishing.

Remember:
✔️ If you have questions about your financial aid, contact the IVC Financial Aid Office directly or visit the office on campus in Building 1700.
✔️ Official Imperial Valley College communications are sent through authorized college channels. If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from IVC, report it and verify its authenticity before responding.

Thank you, Dr. Lennor M. Johnson, for your unwavering leadership, vision, and dedication to Imperial Valley College.

On Monday, July 27, the IVC Desert Warrior family came together to celebrate Dr. Johnson's many contributions and to wish him well as he begins his next chapter as Superintendent/President of MiraCosta College.

Throughout his tenure, Dr. Johnson helped lead Imperial Valley College through a period of remarkable growth and achievement, strengthening opportunities for students while helping elevate IVC's reputation across California, the nation, and beyond. His impact on our students, employees, and community will be felt for years to come.
